Doesn't really effect me.  From what I read it was the personal accounts of government officials.  What really ticked me off was hearing there were like 4 MILLION accounts hacked.  Seriously?  The government has 4 MILLION employees???  You have got to be kidding me!

Personally I think it's just a bunch of drama to either take our mind away from something else or to cover up something they are trying to hide.  Make it look like somebody else done it.  Odd that their hack protectors couldn't detect it before it happened but immediately after it happens they know exactly who done it.  Or at least who they are going to accuse.

most of the news is sensationalism to get us all excited and, yes, as another person commented, distract us from more important things. Watch out for Hillary C. She is using different tactics to get votes for the next election. I sure hope her 50% approval goes down to 0%. She would continue the ruin this country is in.
There are others in high positions who cannot be trusted! They are powerful people and need to be "broken down" from below....the every day people who make up the fabric of this country just need to "not give them any power.
Bill Gates is another one to be cautious about.  I saw a fabricated video to try and scare us. Just don't buy into it.

Isn't this just a case of one good turn deserves another (tic)? Since putting the patriot act in place legal access has been granted to hack into any and all aspects of a citizen's private life whether they were conducting criminal activity or not.  Headlines have pointed to this happening more times than not.  Where there is a will there is a way and it appears that hackers can obtain information from any source that they choose department stores, public service companies, internet, cellular companies.  I, like many others,  try to minimize exposure but nothing is fool proof sans becoming a hermit and not using any credit cards or electric devices.  I am amazed, as a novice, at what we have access to on the internet and would find it hard to believe that crooks/government do not have ten times the access to information that I do.

Hearing about how groups like Lulzsec and Lizard Squad make a fool out of the entertainment industry this does not surprise me... If you seen some IT or technology articles/magazines, a lot of experts state that companies use a rather outdated and inefficient way to protect their information. Either outdated OS (like Windows XP), simple passwords (like ABC123), public router, outdated security or regular programs, etc. Implementation of safer more robust security protocols in industry are difficult because 1: it cost a lot of money (and we all know, no company is willing to give that up) and 2: user/employees stick to what they know, and changing protocols could affect productivity (which all in all affects cash flow)

We put trust in our government, but even then they show us as very vulnerable.  This is very unnerving.  I don't work for the government, but I know a number of people who work in some capacity. I was already impact myself through the other hacked networks. I'm not sure why our system is just so poorly done that is happening so often.
