I went to the grocery store 3 weeks ago and a department store 2 weeks ago. I usually only do grocery shopping once a month. Hubby went to the Wal-Mart Supercenter TWICE this week because they were having a sale on Reynolds Wrap and he wanted to pick up some chocolate ice cream....well, the Reynolds Wrap shelf was empty as was the ice cream. Wasted trip. This isn't the first time Wal-Mart had a sale and nothing was there. Rip-off.
At the dept. store, I got one of those memory foam toppers for the sofa bed to keep the springs and buttons from jabbing anyone. The sofa bed is about 20 years old and the mattress is not very good anymore but it's attached to the sofa frame and I don't know if I could find another mattress for it.
I just went to the produce store and a grocery store today. I spent $15 at the produce store, the largest amount I ever spent but I got Romaine hearts, tomatoes, cukes, asparagus, bananas, onions, potatoes, and red peppers.
I almost fell over at the grocery store because I had planned to spend only $50 but wound up spending $86, but that included $25 on meat. They have a "Pick 5 for $19.95" and I got 2 pkgs of 3 pork chops each, 2 NY strips, and 1 pkg of 2 chicken fry steaks. Then since we like this store's ham steaks (thick cut), I bought one of those, but bypassed the fish because their salmon was $11/lb. which was a big shock. I wish fish prices would come down. We love all fresh fish, especially salmon and cod.
