my gaming computer build
« on: June 22, 2014, 09:19:18 pm »
i have been working on getting this for so long. something always comes up, but i am getting close.

so far i have the case, ram, hd, ssd, optical drive, and os still need cpu, gpu, mobo, and monitors.

my build is i5 processor, 120gb ssd, 2tb hybrid, 16gb ram, just a symple video card, going to run two monitors.

the whole thing has already cost me $600 and got another 7-8 to go. I am working hard on getting them tho. what is your build?

Nice job! I am also trying to build a gaming pc (or have it custom made), when my current PC dies out... Current prices are around $750 if I buy it from ibuypower... Could have it a lot cheaper if I made it, but too lazy and inexperienced

Btw did you consider using a 8 core AMD instead of using a i5 intel processor? Intel's cores are superior than AMD... But the value and overclocking for the AMD is better

16gb of RAM seems to much of an overkill for a gaming PC... Most gaming pc use about 8gb, unless u have multiple processes running from your computer in the background...I think 12 gb is enough for any usage of a PC

You definitely need a powerful graphics card.. For gaming it's best to have good graphics, if not a general PC should run a video game well enough (except Intel HD graphic, any video card is fine)

yes i know lol. i dont need overclocking and this machine is going to be used for other things as well. 16gb ram is overkill but like i said going to use it for other things i wanted something good and special. I dont even want to try amd. and i also know you need a good video card but i have everything thought out im not going to be playing graphic intensive games just a few games i like that are simple, also do a lot of 3d rendering and video editing so this build will suit all my needs and be overkill for the games i play so i can run them at the best settings and get the most pleasurable experince from it. I also have an mmo gaming mouse and keyboard. and a 6 speaker surround sound set.
