Have You Ever Taken A Drive Across Country. I Went From Missouri To The New York Area. It Took About 22-24 Hours With The Family. :)

Travel by car during summer and save money. During good weather camp out. No hotels...no hassles! Enjoy your beautiful summer!

The closest I ever got to driving across country was taking a bus from Atlanta to Philadelphia. The country was beautiful but I will never do that again. My heiney couldn't take it. :rainbow:

Done it on a few occasions and loved it! Great way to see the country up close.
While in college, I traveled in a van with 5 other students from La Crosse, Wisconsin to Colorado and then on to Utah. We camped at KOA's and other local campsites. Met a lot of great people while catching all the sites.
Also, drove to West Palm Beach, Florida (from Wisconsin) shortly after college and this time stayed at hotels on the way because it was early spring and the weather was still cold. Also, met some great people.
On one other trip, I went with a friend by train to New Orleans (again from Wisconsin), and that had to be the most delightful trip I've taken yet. The people we met on the train and in New Orleans were awesome.

Never did that, but one day would love to rent a large camper, take the family and travel this country.

No, I haven't. The furthest I've gone is from upstate NY to Outer Banks, NC. I would like to drive across the country, but I can't get enough time off from work.
