Well, this will show how old I am...another generation, but I remember MASH, Ed Sullivan, 77 Sunset Strip, Bonanza...many others that just don't come to mind now.

My favorite old program is The Andy Griffith Show. The show can make you laugh and cry within it's half hour episodes; and the casting of characters was pure genius. Still watch it quite often.

The one that always comes to mind is The Facts of Life.  :silly: I think it is that catchy theme song they played.

I have lots of favorite old TV shows. Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, The Untouchables, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, The Naked City, The Streets of San Francisco are just a sample.
If I have to pick just one , I would say Gunsmoke.

Ditto on Andy Griffith. Also totally love the Rifleman. I saw Chuck Conners in person as a kid. Woo hoo!  ::)

Not sure if it was my favorite but I would bet nobody here remembers Sugar Foot. It was always on when I got home from  school as my grandmother was watching it.

This probably isn't old enough in reference but it's all I can think of.  The king of queens.  Oh and Everybody loves Raymond.  I used to like Cheers, the cosby show, the fact of life.

I love the Beverly Hillbillies, Twilight Zone, and Star Trek to name a few.  They never get boring to me.  The backwardness of Jed, Granny, Jethro and Ellie May never stop making me laugh.
