Do you think it's ok for celebrities to say 'i'm not a role model"

I very much think it is okay for them to do so. Why do people expect all celebrities to be role models?

Celebrities shouldn't be role models.

Yes, if they act like fools in public to be in the spotlight like lohan, biber, bynes, etc.

No, I don't think thats ok; especially not if they're a high profile celebrity.  Young kids look up to the ones in the public eye and if the celebrity can't handle that in a reasonable manner then they don't deserve to be high profile.  It's just too bad that the public sets them up like they do.

I think being a celebrity is a double-edged sword.  They're watched very closely by a lot of people; which may be good but they probably won't have a lot of privacy.  I think they have a responsibility to live a lifestyle where they inspire people, especially young people, who are easily influenced by those who experience the benefits of being in the spotlight.

Have a great day!

I don't view celebrities as role models nor should they be. Based on what I've seen they don't live in a real world.

Do the words celebrity and standards even go in the same sentence?  So-called celebrities are mere mortals.

Since so many people look up to and admire them they are role models whether they like it or not.

I definitely do.  People have to remember that these "celebrities" are human just like you are and make mistakes and so forth.  Why anyone would want any celebrity to be their role model really baffles me.  There is only one difference is that they possibly make more money than the average person.  I have only one role-GOD.

It is OK to admit it because "no one is perfect in a very imperfect world!"
