Ghostbusters Remake
« on: October 18, 2014, 07:52:39 am »
Did you watch the original Ghostbusters movie, maybe the sequel too? Are you interested in seeing a Ghostbusters remake with four women?

I watched the originals and liked them. Not sure how a remake will be, especially with a female cast. I'd still watch it at some point.

I watched the original Ghostbusters movies & enjoyed them at the time.  Haven't watched them in years.
I would see a Ghostbuster remake, not in the theaters though, when it came on cable or Netflix.  Not a big priority to watch it.

I wouldn't mind if this was a semi-sequel and you had supporting roles for Ray and Winston (And Venkman,if Murray would FINALLY deign to make an appearance).

Yes, I saw the original Ghostbusters.  NO, I don't care to see a remake of it, even if it has 4 women in it.  It certainly proves that Hollywood has lost all originality when the best they can come up with is a REMAKE.  I rarely go to the movies anymore.  It's too much money and the quality of some of these movies are for the brain dead.

They are working on a remake? Thought they were doing  sequel? Pal Harold Ramis was also supposed to be in the remake but Sadly he passed... but they are taking way too long for this movie anyway... Don't really want to reboot but that movie is pretty old....

There was a second Ghostbusters cartoon (Extreme Ghostbusters) years ago with a new generation of heroes trained by Egon. That idea might have worked for a movie.

I enjoyed the originals, great cast and acting/comedy.  Not sure I'd see the remake.  I have a feeling the remake would put more emphasis on the special effects to make the ghosts "cooler" vs keeping the focus on the story/comedy.  If that's the intent of the remake, I doubt I'd find it entertaining in the least.

If it was a new script I'd probably watch it at some point but I'd probably wait for the reviews.  If it is a rehash of the first movie I'd probably stay clear of it.  Doesn't matter to me whether it is women or not as long as it is funny which generally depends more on the writing and the directing than the stars.

It would depend on the cast if I would even bother watching it when it comes out. I loved the first Ghost Busters with Bill Murray (I love that guy)!  ;)

No, I think I'm willing to let that idea move on.

Love the Ghostbusters movies. Some things, like the Ghostbusters, just don't need to be remade/redone. I wish they'd leave it alone.

I'd definitely watch a sequel of Ghostbusters, but would probably avoid a remake. Esp. if the sequel had some of the original cast as surprise cameos.

I am a BIG fan of both the origonal Ghostbusters 1 and 2 movies, this remake with 4 women is a stupid idea since they are still trying to call it Ghostbusters...lol
