Crazy Fun Holiday Traditions :)

Im just curious to see if anyone else has any crazy but fun holiday traditions they would want to share? : )

For Thanksgiving in my family, my grandmother makes the whole family their own pie. so 7 family members, 7 pies lol every year. And for Christmas the whole family gets together and wakes up at 530am and does stockings and christmas gifts and stays in pajamas all day. We have a lot of traditions but those are 2

5:30 AM?  I would not like that.  Nor would I like the wearing pajamas all day.  But I go several places, or use to on Christmas Day.

I host an annual cookie baking party for friends/family a couple weeks before Christmas.  I provide all the baking supplies, and just need people to help bake and decorate everything.  One friend called it an "experience" as unlike typical cookie baking parties, I don't just bake 3-4 different kinds, but 20-24 different kinds.  There are cookies - everywhere!

Each person gets to take home as many cookies as they want for their family or other cookie exchange/parties they have.  The rest typically become Christmas gift bags of goodies for people like coaches and neighbors.

Well, there is one in particular "Christmas tradition" that my sisters, brother and I like.  Every year, I put a bunch of Christmas songs on a USB stick and we'll play the music while the rest of the family mingles and we cook, etc.  One song in particular we LOVE to "annoy" the teens with is "Dominick, The Italian Christmas Donkey," which we all sing very loudly when it comes on.  LMAO, it drives them absolutely batty!!!

My parents use to do a whole appitizeter spread  the nite before christmas with shrimp cocktail, cubbs, cheese sausage crackers, etc... but they both passed away and my husband wont eat any of that stuff so the tradition has died but yum yum I think I kight need to do it this year for me and my kids anyway! Lol
