I'll just say I just want to to get it over with. Tax season was never on my "looking forward to do" list, but I know I need to get this done. I'm hoping for a refund this year. I have an accountant friend, but I also was able to acquire free from TurboTax a software too.

I'm generally ready for tax season because I normally get a nice little refund from state and federal. Just waiting for the last of my forms I need to arrive.

Just got my W2, still waiting for a few more bank statements and mortgage tax documents before I can file.  Slowly making sure I have everything else in order.  Not expecting any issues.

Anybody know how having a very large out-of-pocket dental/medical expense and much lower than usual income affects the ole return?

If you itemize instead of using the standard deduction, you can deduct out of pocket medical expenses greater than 10% (7.5% if over 65) of your adjusted gross income.

Without knowing the exact specifics of your situation, I would guess not at all.

I am still awaiting all the necessary forms.  I normally do file early as we normally get a sizable refund.  But, this year who knows?  I am not sure how our family will deal with the health care issue as my wife is not yet insured.  Health insurance has always been unaffordable unless our employers have a good plan.  Both my wife and my 19 year old son work only part-time and are not covered by their respective employers.  So, long story short, I have mixed emotions.  As, overall I feel that the IRS and it's tax laws are "unconstitutional", put a hamper on our GOD given "freedoms" and has allowed for big government and tyranny.  It seems, there are no easy answers to anything!

I don't have half my forms yet. I'm under the impression the IRS will be slower than usual processing. Whee!

I'm am totally ready for this tax season. I get a decent amount of money back and I'm gonna put in in savings until I decide what I want to do. Probably go on vacation this summer. I'm sooo excited.

I think everybody who is getting a refund is ready.  Those who owe money to IRS isn't so happy.

well, maybe.  Would be nice to have a lump sum of money.  Or even for my kids to pay back the money I had loaned them. Other than that I get tired of watching people spend money on things that they don't need or can do with out.
