Cop makes a special stop....

We were in the car tonight and here in New England the snow is really making it tough to get down the crowded streets. Well,we got stuck behind a cop car in the middle of the road and had to wait until he got out of the store-- a liqueur store-- were he emerged with a bottle of hooch! Doesn't seem right to me,to have a cop with a bottle out on duty. I know it's record cold out there,but come on!

Yep I lost respect for the police a couple of years ago.  Seems like now with all of the police brutality you here about all they are now are thugs in uniforms.

Because there are a few bad cops doesn't mean that almost all of them are not doing their best and it's difficult with the media and the Justice Dept (Holder) bound and determined to turn every incident into trouble for the police.  We would be in bad trouble without them.

I'm sure there's some rule that states what this cop did is not to be done while "on duty."  You could probably report him for it.

JJ maybe you shoulda told him New Years was over.Who knows,maybe he was buying his wife a late valentines gift or picking up something for the captain.

Regarding the few cops that ruin the whole force.....ponder this..i have put this up before....

Hmm, that is an interesting stop for him to make...and very irresponsible of him. Granted, he is human (as we all are). I just believe that the timing of the purchase (on-duty, wearing the uniform) was ill-advised.

He does not appear to be a law abiding citizen. But he might have just been getting ready to get off work after a really bad day. That bottle may be what keeps him from taking it out on some poor smuck. At least he knows there will be relief. Things don't always seem as they appear. BMaston12

There is always some good cops and bad cops, but should follow the rule even they are cops

I don't think one way or another. When I'm driving and a cop is within the vicinity, I just try to get out of focus as they make me nervous. I'm a good driver, but I don't want to give them any reason to ticket me.

Did you see the video of the man boot-legging cigs in NY?Did you see the choke-hold?Did you UNDERSTAND what was happeneing there?And if you did understand it what was your opinion?

Wow that's messed up.  He shouldn't have done that in his squad car or in uniform.  I would have taken a video and filed a complaint

People are so quick to judge when they clearly do not have all the details.  And there are bad people in EVERY profession.  The very same ones who bash ALL cops are the first to call 911 when they need help.  SMH.  Maybe all the cops need to walk off the job.  Along with the firemen, ambulance drivers and everyone else working in emergency professions.  All anybody does any more is complain about them and over analyze everything they do whether they are on or off duty.

Countrygirl,you are right...we all get ahead of ourselves at times....i agree.And then we feel stupid...even tho nowadays i dont think people care as much even when they are wrong.Listen,if a cop runs into a burning building and saves a person i think 100% of the people that witness it will APPLAUDE!!But as trhe scripture reads,a llittle leaven ferments the whole.....you cant deny there are some and it seems more today that arent worth a DAM!!So lets just accept the fact there are Good cops and there are some that think they are Wyatt Earp!!
