Yes, I recycle cans, glass and plastic bottles.  I also take plastic shopping bags back to the store if I forget to use my cloth bags.

Decades ago they did a lot more recycling than we do now.  You got your milk delivered, you returned the glass bottles so that they could sanitize and refill.  The same with soda pop.  I don't have a lot of room in my kitchen, so i put all the recycle items in a tray and sort in the evening when I clean up the kitchen after dinner.  As long as I do it daily I don't have a problem with it.  We have a garbage can for the city, yard can and a recycle can.  If I can turn it in and sell I do, but some of the things are just not worth the gas to go recycle.  So I put those in for the city, a lot of people do this because they talk a lot in this area about how much less is going into the land fills.

My city just went to city wide recycling. We got a single trashcan and are supposed to sort, but doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I prefer the bins system.

I never really used to recycle. But with things being financially tight for me lately, I have resorted to visiting the local Walmart Recycling Center. I never realized how much money I'm actually throwing away every month! Egads!

Yes, our garbage service has a recycling service as well that is free. So, we recycle pretty much everything that we can.

We separate out what is recyclable and it goes into a different bin at the "convenience center"  (basically county dumpsters but you have to be a resident, they will charge people who dont recycle).  They use to have different containers for cans, glass, paper etc, dont get why they changed it!

I read in the morning paper that it is getting expensive to recycle glass.
Maybe more individuals will take up the task. I went to Poland for a couple years and saw a recycle operation in a friend's backyard. It was her uncle's idea.
