I had the attacking each other problem with my older dog and a 6 month old that we rescued ... I guess the older one just didn't want to deal with the hyper active toddler ...

We have that problem with 2 of our 3 dogs, attacking each other. We have to keep them separate. Some times the constant dog switching and stuff can get irritating but ultimately we love both of them (we rescued them both, though not together) and we don't want to get rid of them. They both get along with our 3rd dog so that's good. He'll be 2 in August so he has a lot of energy.

Sometimes this aggressive behavior can be a bi-product of the breeding.  Some breeds are more aggressive than others like chows and sharpeis.  I love dogs and am pretty good at reading their demeanor.  I was playing with what appeared to be a black Labrador and was getting along fabulously with the dog for about twenty minutes. Out of the clear blue this dog got a look in it's eye that was far from normal and before I could retreat, the dog bit my face. Upon closer review the dog had a black tongue, indicative of chow. I have two golden retrievers and they are completely mellow, well trained and have never had an incident.  They don't bark or fight and wait for my queue before making any moves.

Yes, I know what you mean. While I am in transition, I am living with a relative. He has 2 male poms and I have 1. The jealousy can be nerve racking. We use a swimming noodle and whack it. All the noise makes them stop. Also blowing in their nose makes them uncomfortable. Good Luck! BMaston12

They can be annoying at times.  I have 5, and for the most part they get along great but they do have the occassional issue with each other.  My biggest problem is when they all decide to play, runing, rolling, barking, jumping on each other when they are in the house.  I don't have carpet so I hate to tell you how many times my sofa, chairs, liveseat have been sliding across the room when they all jump on it and jump off during a 'game' with each other.  But I love them all and would never get rid if them!

I have two dogs that get along quite well. A 5 year old female yellow lab and an almost 6 year old male min pin mix. Sometimes the min pin tries to lick my lab's back (which is super annoying.) But other than that they are very cute and like to snuggle together!

I have a "shorkie" named Gidgit.  She is very mellow and loves to play!  That is until someone knocks at the door!

I live in an apartment. I don't have a dog but the upstairs neighbor has two. When he's not home, one would bark and the other would howl. I was in my kitchen putting ice cubes in a glass, and they started barking! I thought that was funny. Sometimes I'd go in the kitchen and make a noice just so that they can bark!

We've only got one dog, a Rottweiler/Labrador mix. We got him from the puppy pound when he was a fully grown eight month old rescue. He is wonderful. He lays at my feet whenever I am lucky enough to sit down in the armchair, he lays under the table when our family eat dinner. If I go out to mow the lawn or water the tomato plants he comes out with me. The only time he ever barks is if another dog is being walked outside the front of our house or when someone is walking down the path to knock on the door.... and then he comes with me to make sure I am happy about whoever is behind the door!

growing up I had 3 dogs 2 of which were males and I never had a problem with them attacking each other.I had an english setter black lad and a chocolate lab. The sette and black labs were the males and the chocolate lab was female. They each had their own personality but all 3 were very protective of us kids. :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rose: :peace:
