Wasn't impressed by their Black Friday deals either

I was an Amazon Prime member but to be honest unless you order a ton of merchandise all the time - it's not worth the cost.

No, I haven't tried that yet.  Thanks for the intel on their sale.  One day I'll try it so I can see some shows.

I didn't look at it too much since we're trying to save money, but we did end up getting a vacuum.  Mainly because we were going to get one anyway, and it was one of the ones we were looking at.  Nothing that I did see was a huge deal, but any bit of savings is nice.

I did the amazon prime free trail a little while back but decided it wasn't worth it for me. I like shopping online and taking advantage of sales but not for $99 a year.

I am a Amazon prime member and I can assure you it's worth the cost.
Compare Netflix $80 per year to Amazon Prime $99 per year
You receive the same benefits as Netflix if you love watching movies and tv shows.
A wide variety of music streaming directly to the media of your choice (Phone, computer, tablet etc.)
A wide variety of kindle books to to choose from, borrow a free book every month. Share with friends and family.
Free 1 or 2 day shipping on your purchases.
A free app everyday etc.

Calculate that and you're receiving far more for $99

not a member costs to much i think. The last two things i bought found free shipping easily, also instead of buying 35.00 for free shipping.i'm finding that alot of things you want to buy are limited to prime members  don't like that.

I was thinking about becoming a member, but after reading some of the comments I think I'll pass. I thought the $99 a year seemed a little too expensive.

It's not worth it for me since in Canada we don't have access to the streaming shows or music: just the photo storage.

I just became an Amazon Prime member about a month ago.  I buy things often on Amazon, but the free 2 day shipping was not really a major draw for me.  I subscribed and use it primarily for the video content.  My wife has been watching the TV show Grimm since it started about four years ago.  I saw a handful of episodes last season, but had no idea of the backstory.  With Amazon Prime, I was able to binge watch the first three seasons.

Three other series that I've wanted to see and heard great things about, but have never been able to catch are on there as well:  Blacklist, The Sopranos, Downton Abbey are all waiting for me down the road.  Then there are others that I HAVE seen and would love to watch again: The Americans particularly comes to mind.  So for a little over 8 bucks a month, I can watch all of that plus find a few others that interest me.  And even though the 2 day free shipping wasn't a primary motivation, I was still able to get a birthday present for my wife at the last minute and get it delivered in time!

I do not have Amazon Prime, order from them occasionally. I just think it is expensive for us to afford right now. I hate whenever I do want to order something from Amazon that you have to spend 35.00 to get free shipping, if you even can. Overall, I like Amazon.

I am a member because I shop on Amazon a lot but was not impressed by the sale they had the 15th. There was nothing I really needed.

Thanks, UGetPaid!  I have Netflix and Hulu Plus!  There are a lot of our favorite shows that don't stream on either one!  Due to my crazy schedule; we like to be able to stream our favorites when WE want to see them.  I was thinking about adding Amazon Prime just for that reason.  We don't have a dvr, but we want to be able to see what we want; when we want!  You have just helped me make up my mind!
