Gas since they work when the electricity goes out (if you have a lighter).

I have gas stove, I recall during Sandy we had no electricity but because we had gas stove it assisted with heat.

I now have an electric stove but I grew up with a gas stove. I much prefer gas it cooks more evenly and is more responsive to changing cooking temeratures :peace: :rose: :rainbow: :wave:
