I know this post is old, but here goes. I think teens today have the same challenges that they've had for thousands of years. All the same concerns about how they look, how people perceive them, how much they want to do what their peers want them to do, and issues with their parents.

God love 'em. It's a tough time of life. I worry more about the girls than the guys. There is such pressure to be "sexy" and "desirable" to men. I wish the girls would get more guidance about loving themselves and making themselves the best they can be. :female: The same goes for the guys too, but in a different way. I wish they would be taught to respect women of all ages and not take advantage of them in any way.  :male: Call me crazy, but some of the older, tried and true methods of courtship are the best.  :silly:

One thing I've noticed in regard to teens is... sadly teens have higher anxiety now than ever.  Even more sadly many dr.'s don't hesitate to prescribe SSRI's to block there feelings and emotions.  Therefore they don't learn how to cope.  Take those teens and put them in society with jobs and they are a mess with low stress situations. Also the fear of going to school for an education and being slaughtered by a gunman... never in a million years would I have considered that happening when I was a teen.
