what did you get for Christmas?

Good things hopefully. I got a gold bracelet not expensive but nice. Some candy a sweater and slippers. Amazon gift card we all love those. Will see my son and daughter tomorrow so more stuff coming. When kids grow up and marry have to sometimes split the days up between parents. all in all happy and my son who still lives at home is making the dinner nice present.

We don't buy gifts for Christmas, we have church Dec 23 and 24th, then cook on Christmas Day, we read from the Bible, why we celebrate Christmas the birth of Jesus Christ.....then we go around the room saying why we are thankful for Jesus Christ!!

I got 2 new books, one of those relaxing pillows that you can prop up in bed to read, a nice dress, an exercise jacket, a crochet hook holder, a yarn organizer, two new mugs (an Olaf from Frozen and one with California and "home" written over it) a tripod and lens cleaner for my SLR camera, and the minions movie!

Plus, my step-uncle bought me an amazon gift card and apparently I have something in the mail from my mom too!

Gift cards, Belgian chocolate truffles, lots of other chocolate, coffee (lots of coffee), a candle (with jewelry inside), clothes, cozy soft slipper socks.  I don't like "clutter" so those gifts were perfect for me!!

My husband got me a lovely turquoise and silver earring and necklace with little tiny dragonflys.  SIsters sent yummy foods and my sil gave us a lovely watercolor of our area that she found in an antique store (her favorite place for gifts and always always special) that is over 100 years old then had it framed.  New dishtowels too!

I got a quick and easy ready in 5 minutes breakfast sandwich cooker. I have tried it a few times now and I think the more I use it the better that I become at cooking my breakfast sandwiches in it. So far it is still a learning process but I think I got the main gist of how to make it work better.
