discontinued
« on: January 01, 2016, 07:00:27 am »
there are times when I am shopping that I can't buy what I want.
I am told the item is discontinued.
The last time I bought it, it was in stock.
The manufacturer decided to pull it off the market.
Even if something is popular, I notice that the manufacturers pull items off the market.
Is it that they just don't feel like making the item anymore???
There seems to be no logic there.
I sure don't understand.

I've had that happen to me. I think they make things for awhile and when they think the market is saturated, move on to new products.

I've had it happen to me, but not usually. Recently I couldn't find my shampoo for a while but I recently found it again.

I'm so glad that the 3D printer is a reality now so that this problem does not become a struggling issue for a person who just wants the part and doesn't want to make it themselves.

One thing I have found is sometimes the item itself is not "discontinued" just the fact that the store doesn't carry it anymore so what I do is search Amazon and usually I find what I'm looking for there.  You might want to give that a try!!

Most of the electronic products are discontinued because they have a new version of it and also they no longer provide support for that type of device anymore... Kinda like Windows XP. Support and updates for Windows XP have stopped, but some online stores have them in stock

We have had that happen and usually if we go to a different store, we can find it.
