My grandmother is in the hospital

  My grandmother is in the hospital with possibly kidney failure. Please spend as much time you can with loved ones while they are still here. You never know when it's going to be the last time you see someone. Also the older generation knows family history that nobody else does!

You're right. Don't take anything for granted. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease and she died within three weeks.  I would give anything to have some more time with her.  Cherish your loved ones.

You are so right in your advice to spend time with loved ones.   It doesn't matter if you are young and old, as no one knows when their last day will be.  Health and sound mind, etc, can be taken in an instant.

That is why you talk to them while you can and learn all you can.  I kept meaning to go talk to a great uncle to find out some info only he would know on that side of the family.  Kept putting it off and he was killed in a bad car accident before I got around to it.

I thank all those who took the time to respond, it's greatly appreciated. My grandmother has something called cellulitus. She has been admitted to the hospital. Her kidneys are weakened but have not failed.
