Radio/Mp3 player
« on: June 29, 2016, 02:58:31 pm »
I really enjoy listening to my mp3 player while I am at work, it helps to drown out the noise around me and reduces stress.

I wish my mp3 would play well through my car. I have the aux outlet for it, but the volume is awful. UGH.

I too have an Aux in my car that I'll plug my phone / MP3 player into. I'd suggest to turn the player's volume up all the way and use the car's volume control to actually set the volume to a more appropriate listening level. I've noticed, however, that when I plug the Aux into the phone, the phone senses it as headphones and so automatically reduces the phone's volume to prevent the user from damaging their ears with the supposed headphones. If I then try to turn the volume up, I'll get a pop-up message about playing at loud volumes, and asks whether I want to continue increasing the volume; hence there is an override to the phone's automatic volume control that uses informed consent from the user. Since I know it isn't really headphones in the jack, I'll agree to continue increasing the volume, so I'm able to turn the phone up all the way. Perhaps there is something similar that is preventing the volume from being what you'd like...
