What is your favorite crock pot recipe?

During the summer  I cook anything i can in a crock pot, or my small roaster. I hat to heat up my kitchen anymore then i have to . Besides i can be gone for the most of the day and come home to something already cooked and have dinner on the table .  It is really great when i am taking older friends to the doctors and have to be gone all day.  By the way loved every ones  recipes  for the crock pot. sometimes i get in a rut and their was a couple i really need to make again.

I love the simplicity of a good crock pot recipe.  Throw the food in, turn it on and turn around and walk away.  My favorite is probably a gluten free beef stew.

I really like what you put here.  I never got that creative really.  Throw a pot roast with salt, pepper, and garlic.

I like Chili. I like getting the chili put together in the morning, going out for the day and looking forward to it all day. then I come home and enjoy my chili.

I have so many to list, but let's share!! Today I am making for the 1st time honey garlic chicken.
I got the recipe off YouTube and the ingredients are:

1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup honey
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (I only had crushed red pepper  )
1/2 tsp black pepper
4 cloves garlic (I use more than the normal amount! lol)
and of course any chicken type you like (I prefer breast)

Put the chicken in the crock pot and wisk all the ingredients in a bowl, then pour over chicken, cover and forget about it for 8 hrs on low. You can add veggies or whatever else you like but I prefer to cook those separately. Enjoy!!

I will find out when I go home how good it is because the smell in my kitchen was to die for!

Perfect timing.  I'm going to be shopping tomorrow and I think I'll add that recipe to my grocery list.  That would be a great meal to come home to.  I really should rely on the crockpot more often.  After all I work crazy retail hours and my family has been eating way to may chicken patties, corn dogs and mac'n cheese for my liking.

I do this chicken and noodles, just add 1 stick of butter, 2 cans of cream chicken, 2 cans of chicken broth, 2 chicken *bleep*. Cook that for 6hrs, shred the chicken after it cooks, then add the large egg noodles and cook for a additional 2hrs and its done. It is really good and my little one who is picky loves it too.

I do a beef roast but nothing fancy. I also do corned beef but do the cabbage, potatoes, and carrots separately because they get too "greasy" from the corned beef if I put them in with it.

I made chicken in the corck pot one time and it was like rubber. Since hubby hates chicken unless I make it Shake 'N Bake, cordon bleu, or parmesan, it didn't work in the crock pot.

I'm a very minimalistic cook. But I often make frozen chicken *bleep* with various trader joe sauces in the crockpot which are simple and delicious!
