Movies Worth Seeing
« on: November 05, 2016, 08:49:12 am »
I don't very often go to a movie theatre because I'm very selective about what I'm willing to watch.

I never watch a movie more than once....

unless it's pretty spectacular.

I saw "Pay it Forward" and "Forrest Gump" more than once because they both fell into that category, for me.

Which movies have you been willing to watch more than once?

Have a great day!

I actually saw Guardians of the Galaxy a couple of times while it was in the theaters... It wasn't that I absolutely loved it but rather I first went by myself thinking no one else would want to go, but then was surprised when my GF suggested seeing it. And since I did rather enjoy it, I agreed to see it again.

I also saw Amelie several times in the theater. The main reason was that it was at the cheapo theater with $1 matinee tickets. Also, because it was French with English subtitles, it helped to see it multiple times, first to read the subtitles in order to understand the plot, and later to view the actual acting.

There have been several older 80's-ish movies that I might have watched multiple times in the theater had I been on my own at the time. Movies like ET, Star Wars (any of the original trilogy), Breakfast Club, and Goonies I still enjoy seeing. The other day we watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off with my GF's kids on Netflix; that brought back such great memories and the kids seemed to really enjoy it too.

Sully is a movie worth seeing. I remember seeing the news footage when it happened. :)

I love the older classics... wizard of oz, streetcar named desire, casablanca and ones like that.  Have a difficult time getting into the movies of today.

I agree with natashaspy that the oldies were really the goodies. I like your choices of movies.

I liked Medicine Man, Babe and How Green Was My Valley very much and could watch them repeatedly. I also liked Time Machine (old one), Twister and Andromeda Strain so much I could watch them again and again.

I could name lots of others, but those are probably my top ones.

Nice topic choice, sherryinutah.

I'd watch Gone with the Wind and Authur with Dudley Moore a few times or more.

I have watched Soylent Green with Charlton Heston dozens of times and even purchased a couple of copies on VHS that I still have. I have watched it with all of my six children at least once each and even after all these years, I still think it has something we should all be aware of and recognize today.

I very rarely go to the theater to see movies, but as far as watching movies more than once, I have a long list. Most are older, like Ben Hur and The Great Escape. But my absolute favorites that I watch regularly are the Lord of the Rings movies. They are the best, and I NEVER get tired of rewatching them!

my mom watches "you've got mail" over and over again.
It amazes me that she still watches it when it's on a cable tv channel.
she never tires of it.

The only movies worth seeing in theaters are Jurassic World and the 3D animated films by dreamworks.
