women boxers

I see a photo of women boxers from time to time in the headlines.
They look awful.
women don't have to be macho.
they don't have to be competitive in every sport.

I don't think I could wear women boxers.  I want to feel feminine and these do not make me have that feeling.  I know no one sees your underwear, but I know what they look like.

Wait, are you talking about underwear or athletes? I guess for the athletes, I don't really care either way. If a woman wants to box, that's fine. I actually find the female MMA fighters interesting to watch. they tend to do more submission moves rather than brute strength to knock-out their opponent.

Wait, in what way does it affect you what other women decided to do/wear (don't know if you are talking about the sport boxing or boxers as in clothes, but either way)? Stop judging!  :peace:

I think it's great when female athletes look fit and muscular, especially the boxers and MMA fighters. They've had to work very hard to be at the top of their game and I admire their work ethic. Everybody has a right to their own opinions and it wouldn't do any good if we were all attracted to the same kinds of things. My mom's opinions of her 3 daughters is that they shouldn't go out to work, they should stay home and look after the family, but that opinion is way out of date now. Plus my sister's husband is the best Housedad in the world. Live and let live I say.

I don't really see anything wrong with it. It's their choice. I give them credit for doing it.

In my opinion women can do whatever they want. If they want to be boxers then why not? You say they look masculine, so what? If you didn't know, they are not trying to look good for you, they are doing what they like and most likely like what they look like. Please stop judging.

I don't understand wanting to do this sport, but if you have it in you and you want to do it, then go for it.

I think boxing is rather barbaric. I don't like to see people get hurt, and you risk so much harm to your body by getting pummeled by someone.

However, if you're evenly matched and fight fairly, it can be interesting. After all, I did enjoy the Rocky movies, even if it did make me cringe occasionally. Adrienne and I were cringing together.

Women can do anything a man can do! As for how they look to others, I doubt they care! If it makes someone happy why do you want to talk down upon that happiness?

I agree. Variety is the spice of life, and it's dumb for women to try to be like men when they have their own unique attributes.

I think it's the personal prerogative of the woman.  If she wants to where boxers, she will.  Undergarments are just as important to a women as outer garments.  If she wants to feel empowered and believes she can do that in a pair of boxers, let her.  If anyone has seen the comedy with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy called Heat, Sandra is wearing a pair in the bathroom scene when Melissa goes to cut off Sandra's pants.

If they want to wear them, I'd say let them!
