Lunch at work
« on: July 09, 2017, 04:38:06 am »
Do you take a packed lunch to work everyday or do you go out to eat for lunch? It
has been 7 years for me at my current job and I can say, due to only getting a half a hour lunch
and lack of funds, I have only been out twice. If I had a hour, I might treat
Myself once in A blue blue moon.

I do a bit of both per the week but most of the time I just bring in left overs from last night for lunch.

I am fortunate to live within 3-4 minutes from work so I go home for lunch each day.
Have a wonderful day!

I am fortunate regarding eating lunch at work.  Staff gets to eat the meals that we prepare at the group home for the men who live there.  We eat with the guys....kind of like a family.

Sometimes, I eat at work more than I eat at home.

I try to pack as much as I can because I'm gone four days out of the week on average.  It's very hard to pack fresh food.  I stay in hotels and most have refrigerators in the rooms but some don't.  I will eat out at least two days.  It's hard to keep healthy foods fresh for four days at a time.  Sometimes I can go a those four days without going out.  There's only so much food I can take that will last me.

I get off at 3:30 typically, so I don't do either. I normally just eat breakfast and then wait until I am off to have lunch. I'll go and get something at Subway or something if I am starving at work though. But for the most part I am trying to save my money...notice I said trying lol

Most of the time I try to pack lunch and snacks so that I don't eat stuff that I should not.  It also saves me money.

I've almost always packed a lunch for work.

Now with my part-time job I only have 15 minutes to get my stuff, eat and come back.

Not easy. Can you say snarf?  ::)
