I always flinch whenever a bee fly too close to me.  I can't help it, it's a reflex whenever I hear the buzzing!  I understand their importance in our world though, so I'd never hurt them, but it's too scary for me to get close to them.

I don't do anything special for bees, just move away from them when I see them in my garden.

I have not heard of bee day. When I was growing up my sister's and I were playing in a field across from our house, one of my sister's accidentally got into a bee's nest. She got bee bites all over her face. It was a really bad day and one I will never forget. I can't remember the last time I have seen a bee. They are not around like they used to be.

I have saved numerous bees in my life. I have a large flower garden and we have learned to co-exist among the flowers.
