The Arizona Republican underwent surgery on July 14 to remove a blood clot. The Mayo Clinic says testing revealed that a tumor "known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot."

Such sad news.  It's the same type of cancer that Ted Kennedy got.  Chemo is harsh on the body and considering Senator McCain's age the outlook seems grim.  He's a fighter though, so I hope he'll be able to beat it.

I didn't realize it was the same type of cancer Ted Kennedy had.  I don't understand why they can't find a cure for this terrible disease.  As you might know, I'm dealing with cancer and this week I just came from a funeral for a coworker who died from lung cancer, and she never smoked.

LiverDerchie that was not a nice thing to say, he is not one of my favorable people but I wish no one ill will.  He have money so if there is a cure, they will cure him just like they cure President Carter.  I pray everyday they can fine a cure for cancer.

He is definitely a fighter. I have a lot of respect for him although I don't always agree with him.

I lost my father, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law to this type of cancer.  But I continue to hope and pray for a cure.

So sad and scary too, it can happen at any time to anyone. I wish him and his family the best, although he hasn't always been a politician I agreed with. It doesn't sound good for him, but miracles do happen. I hate to hear of anyone fighting this awful disease. I've lost a few family members from it too.  :(

LiverDerchie, seriously that was a mean and stupid thing to say.  As someone who is fighting cancer that was totally unbelievable.  Cancer is a terrible disease and the treatments can drain the life out of you.  Even if I hated someone I would never be happy they had cancer.  I pray you will never have to go through this either yourself or a clise family member, but if you did I'm sure..no positive, you would be more than upset if someone made a stupid comment like that about you or your loved one.
