Motor Home
« on: August 14, 2017, 01:10:34 am »
Have you ever thought about buying a motor home and living in it?

Obviously, you'd live in a small space but I think I could do that as long as I live alone.  I'd love to drive up north where it's cool in the summer and go south in the winter.  I'm a minimalist and I think I'd love the sense of freedom.

What are your thoughts about that?
Have a great day!

We thought about a motor home many years ago, but the ones that we liked were too expensive. We did have a homemade pop up camper that we used forever we our was growing up. This summer my sister and brother-in-law have started using their tv to travel and camp. They are always talking about the beautiful motor homes they see at the camp sites. There is a whole new world that live in motor homes. I think it is great.

I have always want motor home.  I would love to travel the USA and go place to place.  I watch a lot of youtube about people traveling and living in motor home and travel trailers and I wish I could too.  But it is only a dream and I don't see that working out for me. :)

We own a 26 ft class C  motor home and my husband and I love it.  We have taken it to many parts of the country we would never had had a chance to explore.  Last summer we volunteered for 4 months at the oldest outdoor playhouse in the country in Danville KY.  We lived in it comfortably that whole time.  We often joke how we bump into each other less in the MH than in our own kitchen.  Highly recommend!

They are way too expensive in my opinion - but if I ever came across a good deal on one I would love to have one!

I have always wanted a Motor Home or RV.
The only problem is: Will the Bank approve me?

No, but I guess if I had to I would give it a try. You never know what life has to offer you.

My sister and her husband sold their home and everything in it.  Bought a beautiful motor home and began traveling the country.  They love the lifestyle and have made many friends who also live in RV's.   They wouldn't trade it for anything.

We had  one and spent several months up in Wa,  or., iowa after the first 3 months I was starting to  get a little cranky about so much closeness.  Once we come home and would  only be in it a few  days at a time  it was easier on me. But too live in it all the time  no thinks.

We thought about a motor home years ago when we were young. We were going to travel the USA when we retired and were empty nesters. Didn't happen. Life got in the way.

Now we'd settle for a 35 foot camper to put on the property and live in it and tear down the basement we turned into a home. Taxes are so high that we really can't afford them.

When we built the basement, we had planned to put a modular on top but Life got in the way again so we put a roof on it and turned this basement into a home. The front was never underground, so we call this an underground home. At the time, the county/school district didn't tax for basements, so we had hoped we were safe. Nope.  They changed the rules when we were ready to move in. Just our luck and that's been our luck all our life. Like I told the boys, if we didn't have bad luck, we'd have no luck at all. ;)

Sounds good. I know several people who do it including some cousins who travel all over and visit their grandchildren too.

I would like to have a motor home, but I have to work right now. Maybe it will happen someday.  :-\
