Where in the world will you be willing to move to start over?
« on: October 15, 2017, 12:19:12 pm »
I have recently started to wonder what countries are suitable, comfortable and great for retirement? I have looked at Costa Rica,  Panama and Spain.

I have no clue where I'd go.  The financial status that we are in right now would make it almost impossible to move now. :(

I've considered other countries, but remember being an expat is not all it's cracked up to be.

It might be less expensive elsewhere but other countries do not provide the same kind of freedoms we have here. I'm just sayin'.  :-X

I hate living an hour away from my extended family.  I could never move to another country away from my kids.

Oh I don't know if I could move to country. I wouldn't mind spending some time there such as an extended vacation though.

7 to 20 days is more than enough for anyplace I have visited yet, even London and Paris.

Austria is a beautiful country if you like mountains.
I have heard that Norway and Denmark are good economically.
They are smart managers.

I think I will just stay  here. I have been in about 39  of the states,  I don't like all of the wild weather  that is going on around our country. Alaska is a beautiful states, but would not like the winters.  Too cold and too dark.  Nor would I like  to be surrounded by water.  I am a  desert rat and proud of it, We have our mountains our  4 seasons, sometimes too hot but  cools of at night.   Some rains some droughts but  all in all  our state is just right. for some people you either love  it or hate it and if you hate  it there are more to choose from.

I would not be interested in moving to another country.  I can't even think of another state I would move to in fact.  So I guess there is no where in the world I would be willing to move to start over.

I'd probably stay right here in the USA, though I might be willing to move from Georgia to Tennessee. It's just so horribly humid here in Georgia. I've visited Tennessee a lot over the years (The Great Smoky Mountains), and it's just so beautiful there and the humidity is not as bad. However, in reality I'll want to stay near my boys so I can see them and any grandchildren I might have one day.
