I just read an article about her. She actually is a neuroscientist with a PhD. Her real name is Mayim Bialik and is the author of several books. She also played Blossom in the television series of the same name.

I thought I'd share this because it interested me. And the series cracks me up. So funny.

I used to watch Blossom.  She also played young CeeCee Bloom in "Beaches" (Bette Midler played adult CeeCee)

I used to watch Blossom too. I only watched a few episodes of the Big Bang Theory. I didn't know she played young Ceecee Bloom...that was a good movie.

I remember watching Blossom with Mayim on it. I didn't know that was her all grown up until I checked her out and made the connection that she was playing on this show. I think she's really perfect for that role on the Big Bang Theory.

Yes, I knew that about her - when she went off to college I'd read an article about her.... years later I caught wind of her and her husband raising children.  (Perhaps only child???) Than later divorced as she was going back into the film industry.  I wish more actor's and actresses shared there regular life stories with society - so many dreamers think they'll make it  by "just being famous." Just look at all those youtuber's trying to make it big.

Mayim Bialik is quite an accomplished woman. She's just so multi-talented. She's a wonderful student, actor/comedian, dancer, and writer. I've watched her grow up and have been amazed at how she's grown into such a sensible and fun-loving woman!

I remember her in Blossom, and saw a show she was on that where she talked about her education and background. Very interesting.

I really like her, but I just don't know how she can keep a straight face working with Sheldon or the rest , you just never know what in the heck they are going to say. But I do enjoy the show.
