I watched it and there's some  people in the audience that left me speechless.  For instance the parents that lost their children senselessly to voilents.

Yes, that part was quite touching, wasn't it!

In all honesty, I had no idea there was going to be a state of the union address until I was flipping through the TV channels and saw it on. I quickly flipped passed.  ;) I can't even really consider Donald Trump to be President. Even his wife seems to avoid him at all costs... ::)

Yes I did watch it and thought he did a good job of just sticking to the subjects that matter and not bashing people.

I sometimes think that the politicians forget who they really work for.  They work for the people of the USA .. not their particular party.  I wish they all would grow up and do the job that "We The People" elected them to do.

For a change it would be nice to see them put the interests of all Americans first.

I watched the speech and I loved it. Best President ever!

I wouldn't go THAT far but I do like the man...says what he means, means what he says.
Best Prez ever was Reagan..... 8)

Says what he means and means what he says and best president ever!  Well, we are all entitled to our opinions and to state them so here are mine.  I just about gagged when I read both comments and I didn't watch because I can hardly stand to see his mug anymore.  And it seems that Melania is in the same camp! Have you watched her face and body language lately? LOL!!

Yes, I watched it and thought he did a very nice job and stuck to the topics with no verbal bashing.  I'm an independent, but I think the Democrats need to quit being bawl babies and stop to booing at these events.  Grow up and act like adults.

I agree with you about the booing, however, that applies to all politicians, not just the democrats.  Let's not forget last year Republicans yelled out "liar" several times during President Obama's state of the union.
My thoughts also. All not just one political party. I didn't watch though because I despise that man.

I never watch SOTU's from any president because the next day, the tV is flooded with excerpts and it depends on which station you watch as to how he did. CNN was upset because they thought their poll would show that no one liked it, but they had egg on their face.  If I want to watch pomp and circumstance, I would go to C-Span to see the REAL speech, not main stream media.

I don't care that much for Trump but he's our president and we need to come together and support him. There were many people on the right who got behind Obama when he was president, even though they didn't vote for him. The same needs to happen with Trump.  I hate the childish temper tantrums the Dems are doing.

I never vote straight ticket, except twice in my life, but I think I'll be starting now. There's no way I would ever vote for a Dem now. They're upset because Trump is his own man, not a politician, and not someone they could buy off. They're furious because Hillary didn't make it but I'm glad because we have enough corruption in this country. We didn't need it to go on for another 45 years.

One last thing...I hear daily that Trump is not getting anything done, that the Republicans have control of the House, Senate and the White House, but only blind people can't see how many bills the House passed last year and how many bills weren't passed by the Senate because to pass a law, you need 60 votes, which means bipartisanship. That doesn't happen in the Senate, and that's a shame. There are only 51 or 52 Republicans in the Senate so unless Dems would vote with them, nothing WILL get done; and that's a shame. They forget the people will remember this come November.

I only hope Trump can clean up this government and get it back to what our forefathers put in place. He does love this country and is patriotic, backing the law and order of this country (police, military and veterans).

No, I usually don't watch them because they all make promises or tell a bunch of lies and it's a waste of tv time.  The news media and internet always fact check it anyway and play most of it over anyway.  They said he didn't act like a child, call people names or belittle people, so that's a plus.

I did not watch,  had no interest and knew all the cable news stations would be doing re-caps; watched one of my favorite shows on the OWN channel.

I watched it, and I pray that he can continue to make our country great.  One of the best  things about it was that he did not make it all about him but what has been done and what needs to be done. In Obama's last state of the union it was all about him he said so dang many I's  that we lost all  interest in the speech. The looks on some of the  democrats faces though were priceless. I hope they get some new blood in  congress (the  senate) and they can see their way to working with President Trump. What is there now is the old guard and they  know nothing except to  vote  for  what they want even when it has not been working and to cause trouble with president Trump.
