I am becoming a saver now. I try not to keep extra cash in the house.

I am doing the same thing and having no cash in the house and only using my debit card when I go out.  I leave my credit cards at home now and seem to be saving more.

I save what I need to save( I'm responsible to a fault) and I have fun with what's extra. The difference between a good life and a bad one is being responsible for yourself ,life, finances.

I'm a saver with occasions of unbridled spending...not often, but every so often.

I'm a spender, but I know the importance of saving. Me and my husband are trying to save for our daughter who is going to be born in 3 months, but it's hard. Between unexpected bills, this that and the other thing, our good intentions are often thwarted. I think it's important to save for certain things, but I don't think you need to hoard every penny of every paycheck. My parents always taught me and my sisters that memories matter more than material things, and I follow that philosophy as much as a I can. I would rather spend $100 for a day of fun with my husband (and soon-to-be daughter) than stay at home, sit on the couch, watch T.V., and put the $100 into a savings account for nothing in particular. I'm all for having an emergency fund, and saving for big things like college, a new car, a house, etc. But other than that, I live to make memories, because I know I will cherish them forever.

I am low income. I save so I can spend on what I need.

Every real purchase is the culmination of a saving plan.

I'm a pretty frugal person. It used to be almost to the point where I was borderline miser. But now I am getting a little more comfortable with spending money occasionally on something that is not necessary.

I am a saver. My husband actually has to get on me because I hate buying things unless it is necessary.

Paying it forward was suggested to me and it really stuck for months....may go back to that soon.

I'm a mixture of both. Typically, I'm cautious about spending on "larger" items, but sometimes I'll just get it in my head to buy something and do it... providing the funds are there.
