what's growing in your garden 2018?
« on: April 18, 2018, 10:11:14 am »
It's warming up! What are you growing in your garden this spring/summer? Are you a flower person or a vegetable person?

I've started my squash already and will be growing as many pumpkins as I can over the summer, also trying my hand at corn and some berries. Lots of work ahead but I find it's a great way to pass the hot months.

Not sure yet.  I always have tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, kale along with some other veggies.  Also lots of herbs.   I do flowers in the beds in front of my house.   Haven't had a chance to get the veggies garden areas tilled yet.  Need to get busy.

Nothing yet.  We have a few seeds started.  Probably tomatoes, squash, zucchini, eggplant, potatoes, onions, beans, cucumbers, okra, corn, peppers, and anything else that looks interesting.

I don’t have the room for a garden but I missed plants so I have small flower, basil, mint ones from home depot! I would recommend it to anyone who’s living in a small space

Growing up my mother have flower gardens. We tried a vegetable garden once or twice but we were never around enough in the summertime to make it work.  If I had the rum and the time I would love to have a flower garden back. Unfortunately I have a black thumb.  :rainbow: :peace:

I admire people who can grow gardens. I myself, have tried several times to grow veg. and flower gardens. Guess I just don't have that green that people mention about. I always fail at this. Therefore my yard is plain.

Vegetables:  Green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, Brazilian Moruga hot peppers, red and green bell peppers, onions, asparagus, etc.

Flowers:  Irises, peonies, gerbera daisies, gladiolas, sunflowers, marigolds, zinnias, stargazer lilies, other lilies.  I can't think of them all.  We will be very busy in the garden, after our last round of snow melts.
