A Contributory Post
« on: May 11, 2018, 10:20:28 am »
I think those that think a certain members post meet the description/requirements for a contributory post need to read the posting requirements for a contributory post again so why is admin putting up with a certain member. The ONE and ONLY thing that very loosely meets one requirement is that they carry a conversation. At least admin could fix it so those of us offended by this member wouldn't even have to see their disgusting posts. Just saying'

I think the ignore button was included by Fusion Cash  for a reason.

Yes, report the post, with the link/url it is on.

Also, the "report to moderator" link at the bottom of the page gives you a space (when it is clicked on) to report the problem, and leave the link.

If you do that, how would you know when they are talking about you?

She didn't say anybody was talking about her. She said a certain member's post were offensive and not contributing to the conversation.

If I don't like what is being posted  or not making any sense, I just ignore them and  go on to one that I like to respond too.  It isnot worth my time to respond too one who is being not quite nice or it is nonsense. I also prefer not to get into an argument with some one who thinks they are the  end all to all.

Miss deb, I agree with you on that, I think that there should be limits to what a post should be or what to make a discussion on, post that are rude and disgusting should not be posted for people to respond to. Be courteous and respectful in wanting a question to your post answered. Frame from using language that is vile and useless.

I didn't say anyone was talking about anyone, only that if you block someone's posts (so you don't need to delete them), you would never know if they were.

Okay you can't "delete" people on this site.  That is not possible. You can't "block" them either.  All you can do is "ignore" them. And you know they are there because you still see it.  If I "ignore you" and we are both posting on this forum I still see you.  It just says "you are ignoring this member" where your comment should be.

I misread your comment. I thought you said how did she know that they were talking about her. Like it had already happened.  At the rate things are going I could see FC shutting down the forums because all everybody does is fight in them any more.

If in order to be a contributory post, it has to start a conversation, I'd say this person that you're complaining about has certainly done that.

I've seen no less than four threads of nothing but conversations complaining about this persons' postings.

So we're adding to our own monthly totals by downing another member.

If you don't like what someone says, hit the ignore button below their post, and move on.  No need to bury them.

A contributory post is something that actually contributes to the conversation. Not useless comments or lol to everything or insulting, disgusting, or offensive remarks to everything.  That doesn't contribute to the conversation.  There was a thread started a while back where the person was complaining because they never got the $3 even though they made more than 30 posts and submitted to get the $3 for posting.  But if you looked at the posts the person basically made a one or two word comment on every thing.

I think the complaints are more because some people do not follow the rules of the Terms of Service.  Why have them if you are not going to enforce them.  I know there was someone bragging about something they were doing to beat the system and another member called them on it stating that they had just admitted to breaking several rules of the site.  I don't think they are still here.

The only time it matters if it is considered a 'contributory' post is when you submit your 30 for approval.
Fusion Cash decides whether it qualifies or not.

Beyond that, if you don't like what someone posts, either confront them directly, ignore the post, or report it to the moderator.

It's not necessary to run it into the ground.
