Yes I eat expired food if it's in the can or package and sealed unless it smells bad.

depends on what it is canned food is fine or vaccum sealed even stuff like cereal or peanut butter take for example the mre we feed the troops all fine

I guess it depends on what the food is. If it is cheese, I definitely keep it if it looks and tastes good. But I wouldn't eat yoghurt or sour crème that had expired. There is no rationale to my choices though - it's just personal preference.

It's according to what it is.  And too, sometimes the date on the package is the sell-by date, rather than an expiration date.
If it still smells right, and tastes fine, I'll eat it.

First, it most definitely look and especially smell alright.  Secondly, It depends how long it is after the expiration date.  I have eaten a few things several weeks after expiration but not on a regular basis.
