Now I've Heard Everything!
« on: July 10, 2018, 07:59:32 am »
It's unbelievable how people protest something they know nothing about and refuse to educate themselves. I listen to a program every morning where people can call in and ask questions of a guest. This morning it was all about pro-life and abortion. She wanted to know If pro-lifers are against abortion, how come they don't have a kid every year they're married ; i.e., married 20 years, 20 kids.

This is how backwards the information is...pro-lifers have nothing against birth control. It's the killing of a living being for no other reason except they don't want to have a baby. Someone else called in and asked, "Where is the responsibility of the man?" Good question.

Now the Dems are at the Supreme Court and Schumer conveniently is taking a lot of text out of context. I am shocked that Dianne Feinstein is also doing this. Roe v. Wade won't be overturned because the Court cannot make law or repeal law. So the only thing that the Dems are doing is scaring people that don't know any better.  Even if Roe v. Wade comes up to SCOTUS again, 9 times out of 10  it won't be overturned. If it would by some chance, the states would be left to make the rules on abortion. There will always be choice for abortion or not and no law will ever change it.

I have determined that there is a certain percentage of the human population that will never be happy unless there is some kind of debate going on.  The dumber the debate, the better.

I'm also determining that the percentage of human population that craves debates is increasing at an alarming rate.

This is where I make one of my very favorite statements:  "And then you wonder why I love my pets so much!"  :cat:  :dog:

We just lost our beloved dog Penny. She battled heart disease for 2 yrs and took her last breath between my wife and myself. She had been gasping for breath for hours before she passed. In one way it was a relief and of course then realization shes gone.It was so bad the suffering i prayed God would intervene.15 minutes went by and she passed.I think my prayer was answered cos again the suffering stopped.

I have no use for others that are extremely difficult whether they are family or friends. You know as well as me the love of greater number has cooled off.

Thank God for our pets!!

Thank you Madera and Batista. Its been a little over a week now and even tho time helps heal a little my wife and i are heartbroken. For the last 10 + years you do so much with them and they are always with you.

It was tuff seeing her suffer for a few hrs and then shes gone. You have mixed emotions to see the suffering mercifully stop but it sets in shes gone.

God didnt create animals to live forever as he did man.Maybe because we are sinful and imperfect creatures we cant comprehend the exceptence that animals must die.I hope God helps me understand that cos i have felt more pain with this then people passing.I think its cos they are with you 24/7 and their instinct shows you how they really feel about you when you make them happy.

If anyone else wants to chime in on the understanding of this you have my full support.

Sorry for typo....exceptence shoulda been acceptance

Oh no, I am so sorry about your baby.   :(  In early May we had to put one of our beloved kitties to sleep and I still cry because I miss her so much.   :(  :cat:

I totally agree with you when you say 'Thank God for our pets', because the love of the greater number has, indeed, cooled off - way off sometimes.

We're on the same page, hitch.  Again, I am so very sorry.

Hitch I am so very very sorry for the loss of your baby.   Unfortunately I have been in your shoes many times and it’s never easy.  You love them like a family member and your heart breaks when you lose them.  My last loss was Rocky my lab. I loved that boy with all my heart. He had cancer and we took him to Philadelphia (50 miles) every week for chemo for 3 months then back everyday for radiation for 2 weeks.  He was getting better but one night he couldn’t stand. We called our vet (it was 11 pm) picked him up and raced to the vet.  We were with him about 10 minutes and the vet was trying his best but Rocky’s heart just gave out.  I still think of him. I am so sorry for your loss.

It's unbelievable how people protest something they know nothing about and refuse to educate themselves.

To take this one step further, I saw a terrifying report the day that Trump nominated Kavanaugh to SCOTUS. Several hours before the nomination was even announced a person interviewed random college students (I believe from NYU) asking general questions like: "What do you think about President Trumps nominee to fill Anthony Kennedy's spot on the Supreme Court?"  Keep in mind that nobody was tagged yet by Trump at this point and it was still down to 3 or 4 different people.

The majority of the responses were disgust and outrage at Trump nominating a person who was such a racist bigot and was the absolute worst choice for the Court. They were speaking specifically of the individual nominated and his/her judicial record not generally of the possible nominees collectively. One of those outraged at this horrible person chosen was a professor at the university. (Parents are spending a lot of money for this imbecile to teach their kids).

Rather than make the reasonably intelligent response of: "I really haven't heard who he selected, so I cannot say yet at this point what my opinion is." or the even more informed response of: "Nice try, Mr. reporter guy! The official announcement isn't being made until later tonight." - instead these sheep blindly follow the liberal media and their liberal college professors' portrayal of their own brand of hatred and intolerance.
