Psychology Study
« on: August 02, 2018, 08:46:00 am »
Yesterday on my survey list was a somewhat well paying survey called Psychology Study.  I believe it payed $2 and change but really can't remember the specifics.  I did give a second thought when I saw it was 45 minutes long but went ahead thinking I would click and probably receive a 1 cent DQ! Well, instead it introduced the survey and I began it.

Boy, was it different.  It was about clicking the right rocket to get to the right planet and then mining for goodies.  I was just mindlessly doing it at first and then realized there might be a pattern, which I found shortly after the realization.  However, this dang thing just kept going on and on and on and on.  Finally, it introduced still another similar element.  I just clicked out of it because there was no sign of it letting up, it had become monotonous, and I couldn't figure out the purpose.  Long story, short-If you attempt this thing, maybe getting the pattern right off will shorten it, but be prepared! I found it a complete waste of time!!

Did you get the $2 credit or the 1c?

She said she clicked out of it because it showed no sign of letting up, so she got nothing. Too bad.

I can remember doing one like that before (same rocket ships and mining, etc.) and I completed it but I don't remember how much it paid.

I saw that one, too, and didn't have enough time to attempt it.  I can look at the time a survey is supposed to take and pretty much double that time frame, so I usually steer clear of anything over thirty minutes, unless I am desperate. JaniceSW, I feel for you.  I've been there and done that!  It's a frustrating feeling to know you spent all that time for nothing, but I've done the same, given up when the survey looked like it would never end.  That's why I love the surveys with the graphs that tell you how much survey remains.

I rarely do surveys that state they are over 25 minutes but I took a chance on the spur of the moment.  However, not again!  I am back to my 25 minute limit.  Also, if they get too detailed where they have a lengthy chart with parameters both down and across the page, I am over those too.  In the past, I have had some where I finished one page like that only to be faced with another one!!  No way!

I haven't seen this one but tend to avoid ones that are longer than minutes depending on the amount

This one I have not seen. Being that long I probably wouldn't attempt it.

I would not do a survey that long unless it pays out more.

I would not even consider attempting any survey that is 45 minutes because I have been burned so many times taking surveys. I have set time limits of no more than 20 minutes although every so often I break my own rule. Other times, the survey goes much longer than stated.

That's too bad. I also try to avoid 45 minute surveys.

I've never seen that one but wow, that sounds crazy. I've never seen a survey like that! I can definitely see myself getting frustrated with it and quitting lol.
