Road Blocks
« on: September 12, 2018, 06:46:19 pm »
Have anyone ever been stopped at a roadblock and either had a suspended license or no license at all? I got caught with an expired license because I couldn't pass the driving test years ago, so I took a chance and drove anyways and got busted. I wanted to turn around but I couldn't. I paid my fine and finally passed my test.

I got stopped in a roadblock in Mexico with uniformed men carrying automatic rifles and it was a little tense.

That does not even make sense.  Do you know what a roadblock is?
You know where you have several police cars and they check every person who goes thru the area?  Usually just checking DL.  But then if you are drunk or high or have something in your car you get checked further.  All they do is LOOK at the DL and make sure it is in date.  They do not run it or anything unless something else has already come up - like you are drunk or high. Or extremely suspicious.  Or maybe one of these idiots that scream at them and tell them that they do not have to comply or show their DL.

Yep many times, here in the states along the Mexican border and in Mexico. I don't mind have nothing to hide and always up to date on everything. I don't drink or use drugs. So guess I live a boring but healthy life.

We have check points here quite frequently on holiday weekends.  No biggie if you're not drinking.  I don't mind them at all because they are looking for folks who are driving while drinking.

I have been through many roadblocks and have never been caught doing what I shouldn't be doing.  And, I have always had my license, current registration and insurance.
Have a wonderful day!

I was only stopped once for a road block years ago,,,,   they were having a night  where they were stopping cars looking for "impaired drivers".   They do that a lot in our state (Ohio) LOL  I had forgotten which road they were gonna be on or I would have taken another way home.  Lucky I don't drink and drive. :)   But my licence is always up to date and my car is new and every thing functions LOL
