I think I would be perturbed with my grandchild's parent for not providing forewarning of how my grandchild was feeling if the child had given any indication.  Good luck that this little one is not sick long and that you or others in your household do not catch whatever the child has.

I started the New Year off right by getting out for a 3.2 mile run early on. It was threatening to rain, but didn't, so I enjoyed it very much. There were almost no cars on the road because most people were sleeping in, and the other runners all had a cheerful "Happy New Year" to shout out while passing by.

Her Mother and I dont get along so she gets her thrills sending her here sick grrrr. This isnt her first time doing this. My son for reasons I wont get into lives here with me and it bothers him that the mother never gives him the heads up when she is sick.

I started off by making chicken wings, mozzarella stick, dough wrapped smokies and ham. Good day for watching the bowl games :)

Other than having to lie down for a while to protect my head, it’s been fine.

:)   ;D   :)  I had a good start to the New Year 2019! I had the day off of work I spent part of my day cleaning up some messes that I've put off for a long time. Some of the other time of the day I spent relaxing. Which was a good day.  :)    ;D   :)

There is a really rough stomach virus going around our area right now.  So far I have been able to keep it at bay...
Have a wonderful day!

I see that she is better now, that's good to know.  I spent my New Year's cleaning then relaxing and planning for the year.
