Concert Tickets
« on: May 05, 2019, 09:58:32 am »
How much would you pay for concert tickets to see one of your favorite singers or bands.  My daughter just told me about tickets to see someone who will be in the area this summer but they are $150. I told her. "No way! Let me know if you see some for under $100 with seats where we can see and hear." I guess I won't be going. There is no one who I want to see that much.

I would not pay that much.  It has been a while since I went to a concert.  Seems like $30-$50 - Maybe.  I honestly do not remember. May have been more.

I don't usually mind paying the ticket prices. It's all the fees they tack on that frustrates me, especially when they make me print my own tickets. The last time I bought tickets, it was $70 for two tickets plus $20 in fees.  >:(

It has been MANY moons since I went to a concert, now that my kids are teens I would love to take them to at least one...that's what I thought until I searched how much it costs. Holy Moly! Looks like we won't be going to see anything soon! I can't afford it, especially when I have 3 to take with me.

OK, now I'm showing my age, but I have always loved Engelbert and he was appearing at a casino near us.  My husband got 2 tickets (great seats) for $150 each.  I agree it's expensive but was it worth it?  To him, not so much, to me Absolutely 💖

It all depends who you want to see. I go all the time. I go from everything too Stadium Tours to shows in bars. Most shows are pretty cheap. I mean if you want too see someone who is super popular, then yes you are going to pay a lot. Have you tried looking for tickets are Groupon? Ticketmaster has these deals all the time. If you shop around, you can get tickets for cheap.

There is no way I would pay that kind of money for a concert.  No performer is worth that type of money.

There isn't anyone I care that much to pay to see.  But if there was I wouldn't want to pay more than $50.

I would not pay that; even if it was someone I really liked and wanted to see in concert! Under $100 a possibility; but that would probably happen every few years if ever.

I haven't been to a concert in years and do not see it in the near future.  I don't like crowds and would absolutely not pay that much for a ticket.  With today's technology you can find so much online like concerts etc.

I just paid thirty five dollars to have four hours of beer tasting and several bands: Dwarves, Bad Religion, and the Offspring and I thought that was a low price. I have been looking at a four day metal festival that is two hundred and eighty five dollars but that includes three or four dozen bands. I went to a similar band event two years ago in Chicago and the cost was two hundred and forty dollars for three days. My day time job has suites at several different venues and we are allowed to put in for free tickets to concerts and sporting events. I have made a request for the J Lo concert so that my wife can  go. The suites include all you can drink and all you can eat (good food) and are right next to the concert stages. I was offered Colorado Avalanche tickets for the last playoff game. I guess I would pay eighty dollars for a concert if I really wanted to see it.

It depends on who the artist is. A lot of the groups I like tend to have really expensive prices. I saw One Direction a few years ago and to get good seats, I think I had to pay over $100.
