I'll probably just watch from the window, they are so pretty.

Love to watch them but don't want anything to do with setting them off.  Too many accidents would rather live it to the professionals.

The Elk club along with a few of the business  men supply and shoot off  fireworks.  We can see most of it from  the corner  of the street. So why fight the crowds. It is more  for the children then the  adults.  They always  put on a great show.  Then comes all of the older kids and young  adults shooting them off until the wee hours of the night. Drives all of the dogs crazy and scares a lotof them. But do they care Nope.

I usually work on the fourth of July.  We've had years in the past when we have family cook outs.  Light fireworks off and finish up with a fire.  Last year we walked over a bridge to watch them get shot off over the river.  It was disappointed with the entire show.  The little town next to us has a nice display year after year so I think we'll try that this year if I don't have to work.

There's a show somewhere in my city every year near enough that if we go stand in the yard we can see some of it over the tree tops. That is about my interest level anyway, lol.

We always view on the lake in the center of our downtown area; it's free just bring our lounge chairs and camp out around the lake; they have vendors for food/beverage purchases or you can bring your own!
