I have not had this problem at all. But I dont order very much from them, more from Amazon. But I did order something a week ago, as I had a $3.00 off code. And never had a problem

Hi BATISTAGIRL663, Glad I brought this to your attention, good luck shopping!

Hi nmbrown863, That's too bad I'm sorry to hear that! Sometimes you can't avoid fraudsters no matter how careful you are, I hope you were able to resolve what happened satisfactorily.

Hi countrygirl12, In an indirect way ebay is turning away customers since people can't make purchases, we have no choice but to go elsewhere. A lady mentioned this on ebay and they removed her post, I imagine they know about this and hopefully are working to fix this glitch. As for what paypal is doing, I wish they'd leave things alone, if it ain't broken...

Hi cadence4u, I'm jealous! they like you better! Seriously I'm happy you could buy what you wanted but not sure why most of us can't right now but I'll try later, maybe the issue has been fixed?

PayPal did not have a choice.  If you had read all the communication they sent you would know that.  Most people said they did not even read or pay attention to the emails.  PayPal is not a bank.  SO therefore they were no longer allowed to just let people sit there with money in their account holding on to it to build it up.  Maybe people were doing something illegal.  I don't know.  So that is why you have to have the balance and hold account.  Which still doesn't make sense to me.  And that is connected to your PayPal.  So when you select keep it in PP it is transferred to one of the 2 other paypal accounts you have.  If you read the options it says "transfer to bank" or "keep in paypal" and if you do not have the B&H account or that other thing it tells you that you will need to set up one of those accounts.

I agree I wish they had not changed it.  I have 2 transfers today.  I would rather it had been one transaction. But so far I have not had any issues.

My point is they are not "turning people away".  There is an issue with their site.  I was asking if you contacted them.  Did anybody contact them?  Or just make snarly comments on ebay as well as other sites without alerting them of the issue or giving them a chance to fix it.

Like I said I maintain a website that there was an issue on.  I did not know.  When I logged in the site looked fine.  No problems at all.  Someone called me and told me there was a problem.  I called a couple other people having them look at the site.  Some saw the screw up and some did not.  Long story short the software we were using was outdated and I had to download the new software and redo the whole site.  The site had not been maintained in a long time before I took over doing it.

I am glad someone called, and texted and told me there was an issue instead of just posting comments about me other places. Or even using the contact form to insult me.  So I can see why ebay deleted the comment.

Now if she had contacted ebay several times and they ignored her then yeah she had a right to post whatever about them and they didn't need to delete it.  But it is THEIR site and they will do what they wish. lol

I had thought about selling on ebay but there were so many fees involved I don't see how people make too much money on there.

Yup technology is great sometimes right gang? LOL.

Hi catchow, I like Amazon too but ebay has retro stuff Amazon doesn't offer, I'm glad you haven't had any problems, problems take the fun out of everything!

Hi debidoo, I hope this clears up soon, if I can't buy stuff on Ebay it will mean not getting a few things I can't or would have a hard time finding elsewhere. I think countrygirl12 is on to something though. A few minutes ago I went on Ebay and tried using my credit card, that worked! This tells me the problem could be with Paypal as they have made changes I didn't read about (it's a guy thing, we don't read instructions). They'll only change things again shortly I'll bet so what's the use?

Hey countrygirl12, That junk Paypal is doing might be why I had trouble buying stuff on Ebay! So, I guess I gotta read the email they sent out and perhaps get in touch with them so I can understand how to rectify this problem and pray they quit changing things at least for a little while, if they can restrain themselves.

Could be.  If you did not have one of the two things I don't remember a credit card or something like that or a balance and hold account you were not going to be able to pay with them.  Something on that changed. But I did not ever pay thru them so I don't know what changed.

For me the only thing that has changed is when I get a payment thru say FC it will now (instead of just being there in my account) say ACCEPT THE MONEY and I click this and then I have an option to TRANSFER TO BANK or to KEEP IN PAYPAL and in order to keep in PayPal I have to have one of those other two accounts connected to it.  And it transfers it to there.

Like I said, it is a good idea to read the emails and if you don't understand get in touch with them and keep doing so until you find somebody with living brain cells.  One of their customer service people told me to ignore the email and don't worry about it.  I had that in live chat so he was reported.  Because what he told me was totally incorrect.

**Something you can do if you want to pay but don't want them to have your actual bank account is open a second bank account just used to paying for stuff on ebay or something like that.  You can transfer funds between the accounts online.  Just keep $5 in the pay for stuff online account or enough to keep the account open and not pay a service charge.  Then when you want to buy something transfer the amount needed to the second account.  That way if somebody got in to the account they could not get your hard earned money.  There would not be anything there to take.

Technology is great when it works.  Sucks when it doesn't.
