Contaminated Beach Water

I saw that on the news and also a teenager had a sore on her foot but they got to her in time.  Check out and scratch or cut just to be safe.

I saw on the news that a lady fell on the beach and later got this flesh eating bacteria.  Shortly after this happened, she passed away.

I have always wanted to take a swim in the ocean.....now!!!!!!! I'm terrifed! 
Flesh eating bacteria sound like they could infect a person without any open wounds.  Our eyes and nose and ears all seem like likely portals for such yuck to enter a person.

I Love going to the Beach, but not to get in the water, but  to lay out in the Sun. I always use the Swimming Pool for a cooling off time, I Pray for those affected by this deadly Bacteria.

This is the very reason I prefer privately owned pools. This is not to say that I cannot acquire an infection in one, but oceans, lakes, ponds, etc. are absolutely horrible places to enjoy swim; and this is one of those reasons. You just never know what type of animals and microorganisms are in there.

Well when the water is brown it should be a tip off that you do not want to swim in it. lol  I have been in the ocean before but do not care for it now.  And not because of the "flesh eating" thing. 

It is obvious though when the water is brown it is contaminated.

I read about this being at myrtle beach SC. I have always thought beach water was nasty you never know what is in it.

I read about the woman in Florida.  The article said she was in her 70's but a younger gal in her teens was affected before her.  She's regaining use of her limbs but is having to go through physical therapy.  There are scary unseen things out there affecting us so when people say use street smarts it really applies to all levels when it comes to survival these days.

And if that were not bad enough sharks are rampant in Florida, South Caroline etc. I live 30 minutes from the world's most famous beach and I just stay home.

We just get back from the beach in Destin, Florida, but thank God no one had an open wound.

Well they can't get out of the water. lol  But they are coming closer to shores supposedly.  I went to the beach several years ago and they came and blew whistles and made everyone get out of the water because "a school of fish is coming near the shore and a shark is behind it".  I don't know how they knew that.  I think we actually left the beach.

I am curious as to if sharks have always been prone to attack people if they were in the water.  You did not use to hear about that.  Or if you did it was really rare.

I don't even want to stick a toe in the water after that description! We can safely, stay way from the contaminated waters but what about the animals, sea species that live in the water. What are gonna do?!!!!!
