Paid Studies

A few years ago I missed being able to do one in my town.  I think if I wouldn't asked that one to many questions I might have made the dead line.  I have done some really good ones online and in a controlled environment.  I like those.  Get a minivacation from doing them.  Has any one been able to do these types of studies?  I think they call them focus groups.

I have done focus groups but never got any vacation. The most I think I ever got was a $20 gift card.

Quite a few.....just got paid $40 last week for a 90 minute one...

I have been offered this many times.  They had a thing at a local restaurant and supposedly all you do is show up, they pay for your meal, and listen to the presentation and you leave with a big fat check.

I have heard there is way more to it than they tell you.  Getting you there is the sales pitch.  Then they hound you to death to get you to sign up for or purchase something.  As far as the trips I do not want to go on a "free" trip.  I have won several of those. haha

I suppose that vacation statement was a little misinformed.  I meant to say that it is like having a minivacation.  sorry for the miss understanding.

I have seen ones where you get a weekend (3 day) trip but you have to spend x amount of time listening to something like time share sales pitches.

My husband and I were occasionally invited to some of these opportunities.  We experienced one where the sales pitch was all about investing in a time share. 

I think we received a gift certificate for a free dinner or something but we never had the intention of investing in a time share because we were financially limited at the time. 

I haven't been to anything like that in years.
