A person's right to own a gun is NOT more important than a person's right to life.  To not have some common sense measures on gun ownership is ridiculous and allows human life to remain secondary to having a gun.  Moscow Mitch is part of the problem when he doesn't bring bills to the Senate floor, Republican politicians who receive large donations from the NRA are another part of the problem, and a president who denounces anyone or anything that doesn't praise or agree with him is still another part of the problem.  No policy on far right terrorists that are "home-grown" is a sorry state of affairs.  They ought to know better.  It would be nice to see some guts on this matter!

Here is a picture of my AK-47 I have owned since 1999....it has never gotten up on its own and killed someone, nor have I taken it out in a rampage and killed someone.

Don't blame the gun, blame the idiots out there...people run people over in cars...stab them...poison them.

A gun is merely a tool that gets misused...

The Federal laws that are on the books are enough to stop most people who do not deserve firearms but are not enforced like they should be...my firearms WILL NOT be taken from me because of the actions of the few who misuse them.

If there had been a concealed weapons holder at any of these shootings they could of stopped the shooter...guns will always be around...be vigilant and get your CCW's

So much evil out there ex-employee's taking it out on the wrong people get some help find another job - parents killing their children, boyfriends/girlfriends killing each other - shootings at two festivals recently..... makes me want to just hide out in my house.  So sad that anyone has to lose their life because of someones problems or mental illness.

“The Showy Display of One’s Means of Life”

● To keep up with one’s neighbor in the material things of life is a popular practice. Observing this, Benjamin Franklin once said: “Of what use is this pride of appearance for which so much is risked, so much is suffered? It cannot promote health, or ease pain; it makes no increase of merit in the person, it creates envy, it hastens misfortune.” True it is. Misfortune and disaster will devour those who plunge into the snare of trying to keep up with their neighbors, just as surely as this demon-controlled world will pass out of existence at Armageddon: “Everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever.”—1 John 2:16, 17, New World Trans.

lol Yeah it is.  Especially when owning a gun can protect MY right to life.  You can't take the rights away from law abiding citizens who have done nothing wrong.  By your thoughts as I have said before...

YOU need to be stripped of your DL and your rights to drive.  Why?  Because too many people drive drunk and high and cause accidents and kill people.  The only solution is to take the cars away from every one.  No one can have a car.

There are already laws on buying a gun and gun ownership.  For those of you too stupid to grasp it the people who are carrying out these senseless acts are not obeying the law.  And they will not obey the law no matter what.

And then you want to just blame the president (who had nothing to do with this) and Republicans (who had nothing to do with this) says YOU are the problem.  You need to quit trying to take sides and hate and keep the country divided.  You blame every one except the ONE person who carried out the crime.

Exactly!  People are too stupid to grasp that.  They blame everyone except the person who carried out the crime.

This is another part of the problem.  They do not have "mental illness".  They are evil.  Nothing more.  If we are going to say they have "mental illness" then we need to bring back asylums and lock these freaks up so they cannot hurt anyone.  Keep them in a straight jacked 24 hours a day.  Let them eat food out of a bowl with their face like a dog.  Treat them like the animal they are.

Some how I am thinking if this was going to be the life they would fly straight and all of a sudden not have this "mental illness" problem any longer.

You have the right to remain silent.Anything you say may be held against you.

What a bunch of rubbish. We can say anything we want....LOL!Freedom....please!!!Brainwashed at its best.

Thank a vet?For what?Blowing woman and children away in Vietnam?

Draw the sword.......you die by it.

Not if you're being arrested. You'd be stupid to open your mouth and incriminate yourself if you're innocent.  As for Vietnam, the company was ordered to do it but only one officer was put on trial and sentenced. Back then, there was a problem with villagers being the Viet Cong, women and old men included. You couldn't tell them apart from the good people. Just like today's Taliban, Al Queda, and especially ISIS. I'm not excusing what happened but you shouldn't let hate simmer. It's not good. Vietnam is not today. You're hatred is 51 years old. I would think your wounds would heal by now.

So lets see....we have freedom of speech but we can bury ourselves......hmmmmmm....thats freedom?

The company ordered them to kill............hmmmm...you mean the government?God bless America?LOL!!Put your hand over your heart and remember the injustice.Who would wanna serve such a god?

Only one tried?LOL!!Guess you missed that show on WABC a little over a month ago.Quite a few soldiers came forward and reported what they saw or participated in.

So we cant tell the enemy from the innocent eh?Surprised more dont get gunned down on Halloween.

If you can let go what happened 51 yrs ago i think you should question your conscience.I have NOOOOOOO problem saying i dont support what they did and for the sake of eternity i support what Jesus said RE the sword.Ill bet you wouldnt say that RE 9/11...oh thats right...that was only 18 yrs ago plus we got attacked on our soil.

There are fools here that say they have been taught the bible but have NO problem carrying a weapon. The intent is there to own one and use it.

Hypocrites.

Oh My! What has the world come too; this has to stop.

It's not going to stop.  Things are only going to get worse.  We live in a country where people are allowed to do whatever they want, kids on up to adults.  So when something happens like you get fired they do not know how to handle it.

It is funny you don't want to blame the idiot who done this but ALL gun owners.  Did you all miss where he was fired for pulling a knife on a customer?  I guess we need to ban knives while we are at it as well!

And no he doesn't have mental illness.  He is an evil piece of trash who should have been locked up a long time ago.  But we can't do that cause it might hurt his feelings.  If there was real punishment and kids were taught how to act this would not keep happening.

You are still blaming the wrong person and I don't have anything in a twist. For someone who isn't angry you sure are expressing a lot of it.  You did not blame obamer when there were shootings when he was president so I am not sure why you want to blame Trump for the shootings today.  I also am not trying to silence anything but you are trying to take rights away from people so what's the difference.  I done the same thing.  I expressed my opinion.  You cannot take away the rights of the people to own guns because some idiot uses his right to have a gun to do something bad.  No different than a drunk driving a car and killing someone.  Or the ones who drive a car in to a crowd of people with the intentions of killing people.

I'm with you (agree) on all your posts about this.   It seems every mass shooter now uses the mental illness excuse. It's crap. They know exactly what they're doing. It's sad. I blame it on lax parenting. no religious teaching, and violent movies and video games. They think what they're doing is not real, that they're playing a game. This also can point to the hate for Trump by the media, the elitist in Hollyweird, AND different House and Senate Dems who have been spouting garbage. I watch C-Span a lot and it's ridiculous how the media and Dems have brainwashed some people...like the woman this morning. She knows exactly what to do to stop shootings: (1) Abolish the 2nd Amendment; and (2) Abolish Trump. Sounds like if she had her way, she'd attack him.

The hate started during the Obama Administration. Mass shootings started as far back as 1949. I haven't found anything on it but I think the Wall Street Journal had that info.  Back then, you didn't know about many of them because there was no SOCIAL MEDIA or CABLE NEWS that spews hatred day in and day out.I would love to post a saying my parents had when I was a kid but it's a bit vulgar so I can't. LOL

It's just heartbreaking that in two days and two mass shootings that 29 innocent people lost their lives and numerous people were injured.

That is so sad. This world is in so much trouble if we don’t start spreading love instead of hate we’re not going to have a world for our children to grow up and it’s going to be hell on earth
