Do you enter in contests..

Does anyone ever call the numbers on their  receipt from different stores to be entered into contests to win money? And if so, do you know of anyone who was actually picked and won? For example: Walgreens receipt, Rite Aid, Dollar General, Food Lion, BJ'S, Family Dollar etc.

i used to do  surveys t g i fridays a few years ago.sometimes i would do a free appetizer. i don't have time to do those things anymore.

I use to try with Publisher's Cleaning House. I mean that I stayed on top of everything with them for years. I never won a thing. I think that all contests or most of them are only to get you to buy something and it is rigged so that no one ever wins.

I enter sweepstakes every day.  I have won quite a few things.  I do surveys and contests on the bottom of receipts, too.  Have gotten free prizes (appetizers, desserts, extra savings).

I usually do the survey online.  Never won anything from that. But I did win a hefty amount of money in a sweepstakes I entered once.

I use to do a lot of the surveys on receipts and enter drawings, but I have never won. I also tried the Publisher Clearing house sweepstakes a few times but never won. I don't know anyone who has ever won either.

The trick is that they make us think that we have won something for free, but in reality, we end up buying more than what the "free" item is - so they made a sale that they otherwise wouldn't have since we wouldn't have come in if not for the free coupon.


I'm all in favor of coupons for something or some place I would have already been going to/buying anyway. But I am careful to not overspend just because I have a free coupon for something/place new.

I don't bother doing the sweepstakes kind, I figure there is so little chance of winning that it's not worth the time. I will however take the time to fill out a survey in order to get a free egg mcmuffin or whatever. I'll take a guaranteed small freebie over a chance at a fortune.

I have entered a few times.  I got bored with it.  One year I tried for a few months to get in on a radio call to win.  Never made it to hello.  A few years later made the call contest to the local station and won a dvd.  Sometimes you get lucky.  I have never one any thing big. But it's fun to play.

Right.  It's like I think Krystals you get 3 free plain Krystal burgers but you have to purchase a med drink and med fry. I would be cheaper to just go buy the burgers. lol

I do receipt surveys, too. I've never entered a sweepstake unless it was through a grocery store.
