Then WHAT is the flu shot?  I thought they were saying the flu shot was suppose to keep you from getting the flu?

I know last year some people got mad at me because I refused to take it.  Well then stay away from me.  No problem dumb butt.  You took the shot so you should be protected. lol  I have never had either.
I think the flu shot is for influenza, which has the fever, runny nose, muscle aches, sneezing, coughing, sore throat, headache symptoms.  The "intestinal flu" is not really the flu at all - it's just that many people have come to call it that.

If there are any medical knowledgable people here and I have this wrong, please jump in and correct me. But I understand these as two completely different things each independent of the other. So the flu shot will not have any effect on preventing stomach cramps, vomits, and runny poops - but the other aches, pains and associated fevers are what the shot is targeting.
She graduated from using the term "snowflakes"to "dumb butt"....hope u noticed.....FC doesnt seem to.

there is a reason they tell u to NOT get the flu shot if u are starting to get sick. if u r starting to feel sick dont get the flu shot u will only get real sick. get the shot early in the season. its a really good idea to talk to professionals and do some research, not some stupid website that can say whatever, read medical journals get the real facts before u decide what to do. vaccines r a good thing

With me being diabetic, the doctors force these shots on me. Honestly, I like to tell them to take a hike.

I was required to receive certain vaccinations when I worked at the hospital; but, now that I no longer work there.....

No, no, no, no, no.  I'd much rather take an alternative route.
Have a great day!

I get the flu shot every year....I also am finishing up a smallpox vaccine study where I am being paid to receive the vaccine in exchange for sharing my data, etc.

I do not get a flu shot and will not get it.  I had the flu once in my life.  I keep my immune system healthy.  Knock on wood I rarely get a cold.

GET VACCINATED!!!! there are people like myself who aren't able to get vaccines and we rely on the fact other people get vaccinated so that we don't catch these diseases and dieeeee.

The flu shot does not give you the flu. it is an inactive virus. If you have flue like symptoms it's your immune system responding to the vaccine giving you soreness and maybe a mild fever and aches but that's not the flu. the flu shot can't give you the flu. if you really are convinced you have the flu then you contracted the virus before getting the shot. this is simple science people stop ignoring it

it also doesn't necessarily prevent the flu but it makes it a whole lot better if you do contract the virus after you've been vaccinated. This is simple research. do yourselves a favor and get educated.

please get vaccinated for people like me's sake. I can't myself as i am immunocompromised and it wouldn't do anything.

I don't. Last year was actually the first time I had ever gotten the flu shot and that was only because I was pregnant.

I don’t get all of them however, I did get my daughters vaccinated for HPV.

There has been a lot of controversy over that one.  There have been teens who got that shot and ended up really sick FROM THE VACCINE.  I read about one teen, a guy, who got the shot and he ended up a vegetable laying in a hospital bed.  Do not remember the outcome as to if he died or not.  But the vaccine caused it.

Like I said to start with, some of the vaccines I have no problem with but some I would decline.

I never felt the need to get a flu shot as I may have gotten the flu once in my life.  My illnesses are usually more the head and chest type ... Upper Respiratory Infection, Head colds.

I also very rarely get the stomach flu even when people around me get it.  Not sure why but glad I don't get it.
