I never had directv, I have always had cable.  I am a tv watcher so I am willing to pay the extra.  I do have a bundle, cable, internet and home phone so I have happy.

I never had direct tv. I've always had Comcast but every year, the cost have been going up. I might have to give up everything pretty soon. I can't afford it!

I have DirecTV now, which I get through either my Roku or Firestick.   It's expensive and I'd drop it if it weren't for my dad.  I have Expedite TV and like that a lot.  It has tons of content for $24 a mo.  Way better deal and that is only available on Firestick not Roku.  Also, you can get it on computer and phone or tablet.

We actually switch from DirectTV to Dish. DirectTV is just as bad on prices and increases monthly.

I wish I knew more about it. I currently pay over $70 just for internet from Spectrum.  ::)
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

We cut the cord a year or so ago, and have Philo and Hulu Live. Worth it.

I have DISH and the price was constantly increasing.  The worst part was that I was paying money for channels I never used.  I called them to see if I could get a better package, but one of the Reps said no.  I told him then turn it off period.  He put a Supervisor online and I got the package I could afford.  I told them if they could not give me the package, then turn it off and I would send their receiver back to them.   They gave me what I wanted and thereby lowering my monthly cost.  Their prices are ridiculous.

Thank you for the info OldBuddy.  I want to cut the cord this year but my hubby wants the sports package and local news so the Hulu may work for us.  I'm going to check it out. Cable just keeps going up and we never watch all those channels.  I can use that money for vacations.

I have never used Direct TV, which is offered by AT&T now, my internet service.  Personally I don't like what I've heard about them, hidden fees, can't get local free channels, service is interupted often bc of weather, stuck in a 2 year contract with prices going up., etc.    I cut my Comcast cable cord years ago, after my husband died and now only use free TV and Roku, where I watch a lot of cable channels for free on YouTube, (not YouTube TV, where you pay)
