Holidays stink!
« on: December 30, 2019, 09:06:13 am »
It's official - the holidays stink for us. We have had several passing over the past 10 years around the holidays. Then Christmas night my husband was admitted to the hospital with swelling every where - even in places where it shouldn't swell. He has fatty liver and scaring on the liver. He came home Saturday. But there is a long road ahead of us. I'm stressed beyond max, we have two children, one is special needs. So I am doing everything. Not sure how we are going to make ends meet now. I may have to start a gofundme page, I doubt we will get much out of that. Extended family has their own things and we really have no one to rely on. Sorry for venting a being a party pooper.  :( :( :(

I’m sorry to hear that!
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

I feel for you, I had to put my cat down in the beginning of this month. She was in some kind of kidney failure & will have died very soon probably in great pain. Every month this something negative had happened to me, the pets, the car, the toilet, the roof, air con, yard, the mailbox, the back yard, the fence,or my family members. It's been a bummer holiday!

Sorry to hear that.   There are a lot of things, in today's world, that you can do to earn money.  Maybe have to do more than one thing but with the gig economy there are options.  There are delivery apps that don't require a newer car, uber and lyft, instacart that can be done without a car, lots of online ways to earn.  So, there are options out there.  It does stink when it seems like everything is always going wrong.  It seems that, that is just life.  When my oldest daughter was about 10 I had her in a university hospital for seizures and hyperactivity and while she drove me crazy and it seemed like a lot to handle, others there had it so much worse.  Kids that died while I was there.  Kids with cancer and no hair.  My problems seemed pretty small in comparison.

I am so sorry to hear all this.  You definitely have your hands full.  As far as your husband is concerned, your doctor is probably talking to you about the underlying causes of this condition.  If your husband is very overweight, has diabetes, or drinks alcohol much, these need to be focused on. Having a special needs child can be trying when you are already stressed.  Make sure you seek out any and all help in your community.  Search for food pantries, clothing giveaways, help with energy bills (call local agencies and your energy provider), and contact the local or state foundation that represents your child's diagnosis.  They sometimes have resources and suggestions to help you deal, including caregiver respite.
