I just want to be able to have our yearly extended family fish fry this summer, because I love a good fish fry with fresh cut french fries, fresh cut onion rings, hush puppies, etc.  But mostly, it'll be a great chance to see my extended family whom I haven't seen since this whole COVID-19 started. We're a pretty close extended family, so it's been hard just connecting by phone and not seeing each other.  :peace:

I don't think it will ever be over.  This is here to stay.  Even if restrictions are lifted every where I think some of your physco people who are scared to leave their home are always going to be completely insane about people being near them or going out in public.  Guess it will be the new way to get a government check. smh

I probably won't do a lot different than I am now.  I do plan to continue the new way of going to town once a month and getting what I need for a month instead of once a week.  People are completely insane.

I'm afraid you're right, countrygirl12. I wish you were wrong, but things just seem to point in the direction of more government control which means scaring the bejeebers out of everyone so that we can depend on their help. :binkybaby:

Exactly.  It is like in my state.  They are showing the number of positive cases and outrageous numbers. First I don't believe the numbers are increasing like they are saying. And second, if you do the math the death rate is less than 2%.  Closer to 1%.  The government has not "helped" me.

I have talked to a friend that is a manager at Walmart.  Several of the new things they are doing she says she doesn't see it ever going back. Like the open 24 hours. She says she will be surprised if that ever happens.

I talked to a woman working at a hardware store the other day. She was talking about some woman freaking out because she was talking to her. The woman asked for help but did not want the employee to get close to her and answer her question. smh  I would have said mail me a letter. lol. So far I have not been afraid to be around anybody in any store. Customer or employee.  I don't like the world we are living in. People have lost their minds.

I will be glad to return back to normal life and do what I want, when I want and not having to be in a prisoner in my own home.

Just try and get back to some sort of routine and be able to go see family with the fear of getting sick especially when 4 of them have to work this during this time.

I agree, better safe than sorry.  Keeping up with the effects of this virus (and any new strains that emerge)  will take mindfulness and total self control.  Shop on sale, have coupons and continue to stock up on items we've learned become scarce is a good rule.  Only dine at restaurants you know and trust is another.  Gone are the days I would feel comfortable in a crowd for any function so I avoid the parks and other places if there is a lot of people.  Drove by Costco yesterday and they were packed, a stream of people still going in and a stream coming out!  I just left, it was probably a 10 minute wait in line to check out!

Do you people think that the Covid19 is over, not even close.  People please do not remove your masks and stop the social distancing.  It will be a big mistake.  I know being cooped up in the house is making some of you go crazy, but it's healthier to stay in. I am praying that this ends soon, like now.

I love my home and don't mind staying in it and stayed in a lot before the virus but dislike having to stay in Makes you want to go out just because you have to stay in,

Is it healthier to stay in though?   According to New York's governor Cuomo "66% of new admissions related to the coronavirus are people who were at home" -- that was just a day ago.

"New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said preliminary data from the state's hospitals indicates a majority of new hospitalizations related to Covid-19 are people who are mostly staying home and not venturing much outside, which he called "shocking." "

I am not ready to open up, I think it is too early. Testing needs to be done on all.

Continue to close to what I am doing now to be honest.  I am kind of a homebody anyway and honestly I don't think we are out of the woods yet or even close.  Everyone has to decide for themselves but I will continue to proceed with great caution.  Good luck to all and be safe.

Same here. Apart from going to church and the grocery store my life isn't too different!

unfortunately, i don't think this will ever be really over. But when the shelter in place is lifted there are are 3 things i would like to do. One hug my friends and family (that might still be a ways off) Two Go out to eat  Three  get my hair cut.
Whatever i end up doing it will still be done with caution. right now Mass. quarantine ends a week from Sunday.
I belong to a small gym so i hope that will be open and i can go twice a week. :rainbow: :peace:

I am looking forward to going to the beach, restaurants, and my local gym. I never thought I would be so happy to leave my house as much as I do now, LOL.

Why? I will never grasp why you and others think everybody in the country needs to be tested. That is so stupid. You would need to be tested every day. I can be tested on Monday and get the results 14 days later saying I am negative. But Tuesday I went to the grocery store and came in to contact and contracted the virus so even though my test says NEGATIVE I am actually POSITIVE.  People need to get the test if THEY want to and stay home and hide and let the normal people live their lives.
