Thank-You, Governor Whitmer
« on: May 03, 2020, 07:54:04 am »
My governor, Michigan's Gretchen Whitmer, declined Trump's invitation/advice to negotiate with the so-called protesters who were dressed frequently in camo and carrying guns, and pushing their way into our Capitol Building with those guns, no masks, and completely ignoring social distancing.  Anyone who truly simply wants to protest a state's emergency declarations needs to not bring guns, openly carry, and at least watch what they are doing as far as social distancing for the good of others who do believe this is a serious pandemic.  There are more of us than the ones who are these kind of "terrorists."

Is it true your governor, Gretchen Whitmer, made it illegal for people to mow their own lawns? Or is that just fake news, because that sounds pretty crazy...

Normally I would have been shocked to hear of a political leader encouraging protests of any kind (especially in America) but this action is comparatively mild when considering playboy bunny/*bleep* star payoffs. Michigan residents, according to an Associated Press poll, posted significant support for the Michigan Governor's actions-fifty seven percent with thirty nine percent identified as Democrats and thirty five percent identified as Republicans. The president narrowly won Michigan's support. The administration's proposal to diminish funding for the Great Lakes cleanup by ninety percent has upset all bordering states. Stating that automobile manufacturing companies are pouring back into Michigan had not materialized prior to the CoVid invasion and is certainly not occurring in the current state. Too bad there is not a way that the protestors could gather together, segregate them from the population that wishes to stay safe/in quarantine, and start posting numbers like Sweden did.

Exactly! But you will get attacked for saying something like that. Cause many are happy being locked in their home and want every one else to be locked down too.  I am seeing more and more REAL AMERICANS fighting back.

Even before the virus many were still homeless, hungry and unemployed.

I also understand the frustration of those that wanna work too.

Tough situation but leave the guns home.

It is just strange - every state seems to be doing something different and then they keep changing their mind. Sounds like I will be working from home for the forseeable future and feel lucky to do so

Kudos to her that is for sure.  People like that shouldn't be able to act like that and get away with it.  I am afraid for how people are going to start acting to be honest with you.

This is not the only state requiring people to stay in.  We are not having church because we want to obey the recommendations of the leaders.  I have no problem staying home and I think someone that has the virus or passed from it would agree.

LOL  No the pot calling the kettle black is idiots who scream I ignore her so I don't see her posts then they respond to me. ::)

I do not attack anybody.  I do express my opinion.  Too bad if a snowflake like you disagrees.  It is hilarious that you don't attack the orig comment saying "real Americans".  I did not say one way or the other what you are.

And I will tell you something else - First off let me remind you that you were suspended from the forums a while back for bullying.  Guess you did not learn your lesson.  And no, you did not "take a break" like you touted when you got back in the forums.

And second, if you attack me - I will defend myself.  If you don't agree with what I say then hit the ignore button. No you can't do that because you want to fight.  I swear this forum is worse than any junior high drama fest I have ever seen.

If you have the ability to work from home then yes you are very lucky.  Most people can not do that.  Every state is doing something different because every state IS different.  They are effected differently.  And each governor can make their own decisions about what is best for their state.  My area doesn't have that many cases.  I think we have 1 or 2 active cases at the moment.  And for the most part people have been every where the whole time.  Which punches a big hole in the "we will all get it and die if people don't stay home" theory.
