Yeah, I don't really quite understand people not wearing their masks and social distancing at least for the time being. It's not like it's a difficult thing to do. And I will never, ever understand people who are rude to people they don't even know. I mean, I was raised to be polite and not get in people's space. I was brought up to be patient and wait until the other person moved on and then get the stuff I wanted.
See that goes both ways. I will never understand the people wearing masks. Difference is I don't say anything about it. I don't make smart remarks under my breath and I don't glare at the people wearing them. The CDC has said that a mask will not keep you from getting sick. And what is more disgusting is the idiots wearing masks that walk out of the stores and rip that mask off and throw it down in the parking lots. SO somebody else has to pick up your nasty germ laden mask with their hands.
As for reaching and getting stuff, I personally, do not do anything any different than I always did. If i need something I will get it and go on. Some people are as others have said, just as rude, just in a different way. You clearly can see someone is needing x item from near where you are so you stand there for 10 minutes trying to decide if you want orange jello or cherry jello. If I know what I need I will say excuse me and get it and go on my way. Most others are doing the same thing. And MOST people in my area, if they see someone looking at something near where they are, if they are "looking" will ask did you need something or am I in your way and they will step back and let the person grab what they need and go on.
It is funny because we are clearly divided and more so that any thing else that has split our country. The battle lines are drawn. The sad thing is the scared mask wearers cannot see they are doing the same thing the accuse the ones who are just trying to live their lives of doing. Most people in my town are pretty laid back and sane. There are only a handful of people who are completely physco. Quite a few wear masks but I see less all the time. Mostly it is employees and they wear them because they do not have a choice.
As for "social distancing" (a phrase I have come to hate) there is NO way to stay 6 feet away from every one else all the time. And FYI a sneeze or cough can travel farther than 6 feet. I mean can you see these germs flying through the air and saying "oh wait guys, this is 6 feet, we can't go any farther!"
